Only thing I see wrong here. Deng Ai led his cavalry out and charged Ma Dai's cavalry head-on. Couldn't have been hit from behind when they were charging at them.

Yeah sorry, my bad. Wouldn't have affected the charge modifier because Ma Dai's cavalry was also moving. Meaning, they charged into each other.

You can just assume his men did the same thing Sima Yi's did. He's a part of the same force as my personal troops, so you can just add his 2,000 or whatever troops into my 4,000 or so and factor in kills and losses.
If he doesn't post by the time you do losses, at least.

Couple things...
This battle started a long time ago, but now they're bringing in 4,000 recently purchased troops? This battle should be a quick thing, not a two-week long skirmish. Honestly, we should have been fighting for like an hour now. Reinforcements from Cheng Du come all the way to Nanzheng for this battle? I won't have it.
Especially considering we've all but won this battle, and now Shu just decides to take it for themselves. We need some definite rules for these broken battles, Mikey...
[edit] - This isn't meant to be bashing anyone, this is to be for the benefit of the current battle, of the faltering Kingdom of Wei, and the site. Please don't take this as insulting.

Addendum to Battle Rules: Only troops purchased before the battle begun can be brought as reinforcements.
Fang Dao will be allowed to edit his post to include troops that existed before the battle begun.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Lemme talk it over with Aaron/Liu Bei. They aren't MY troops, as I never purchased them. They are Kingdom Troops assigned by Liu Bei, so I have NO idea what units are fresh and what units are "stored" units....or what is considered "new" troops in the first place.
Also, with all due respect, please don't complain. The battle thread says reinforcements can come in by turn three. It is now turn four, and you can just as well do the same. I can understand your argument on time frame, but in RP reasons, my character DOES have a reason to be where he's at. He had no idea on the battle situation until he actually arrived.
In any case, I will work out the troop situation with some research and some talking with Aaron.
Till then, please be patient. If it turns out they were purchased after the battle, I will make my modifications gladly. If not, I will argue my point with evidence.
EDIT: Well, turns out you were right. I shouldn't have taken Aaron at his word and double checked the numbers. I'll take a share of the blame here. The modifications will go up ASAP; I'll take what I CAN use and substitute it in there.
Sincerest apologies for the screw up on my part.

To be fair, yes they were purchased after the battle had started. But it is not stated anywhere in the rules that troops that have been purchased cannot be sent into battles already occurring.
Doesn't say it in the rules at the start of the thread, or even in the main rules. All it states is that reinforcements can be sent after turn 3, and that it can only be 3,000 - 5,000 troops.
I asked Mikey, he said it was okay.
Now it's not okay. Whatever, what's done is done.

I have no intention of pushing this battle any further to pursue fleeing units or offer the reinforcement general battle. As far as I'm concerned, we can end this skirmish now and say Ma Chao and everyone escaped with whatever units they now have.
Is that okay with you, Mikey?

Only if it is also alright with Ma Chao and Feng Dao. Obviously, they're outnumbered and would lose, but it is still their decision.
You can rp the aftermath of just cut the battle off there.
