Err, there will be a Sun Quan before the game starts, so there's no need to join Wei as a Wu character... Otherwise I don't see a problem with this.
Approved.

There were many whispers that Sun Liao was a bastard son of Sun Ce, but nothing was ever confirmed and Sun Liao's mother was merely forced to leave. Approaching his eighth birthday Sun Liao began to notice his mother acting strangely. Whenever he asked her what was wrong she would say everything was ok and just give him a big hug. On his eighth birthday a warrior came to the small hut he and his mother were living in and he talked to the mother for an extended period of time before exiting the hut. He turned to the young Sun Liao and explained to him that he was Taishi Ci, and the he would be his new mentor. Confused, Sun Liao turned back to the hut to find his mother there with his things packed up. From that day on Sun Liao had been trained for one purpose, and that was to become a warrior of the Wu kingdom. He was trained in the art of war, as well as in fighting tactics, choosing to follow the example of his mentor and adopt dual swords, Sun Liao was trained by the best. Name: Taishi Dun Age: 18 Gender: Male Style: Original Residence: Wherever Taishi Ci is. Personality:Raised by a very proud man, Taishi Dun is a very pompous and confident young man. He goes out of his way to try to be the best and he pays extra attention to being his father's favorite. Appearance:He stands about 6' 3" just as his father, and wears some of his fathers older armor (pic). Although battle used, it is still very durable and strong. Weapon(s):Unlike his father, Taishi Dun chose to use a spear, about 6 1/2ft long (pic). History:Son of Taishi Ci, he was raised very well. For the first six years of his life he was the jewel of his father's eye. He could do nothing wrong, but then one day his father returned with a young boy, two years older then he, and from that day on things changed. No Longer was Taishi Dun the favorite of his father, and Taishi Dun resented that. It was evident that Taishi Ci wanted the two boys to get along but that was made nearly impossible by Taishi Dun's dislike of this new "pupil". One day, when Taishi Dun was around ten years old he feigned friendship with Sun Liao to try and trick him into leaving. He tried to convince him that his real father came looking for him not too long ago and that Taishi Ci had lied about having him. Sun Liao, furious, went to confront Taishi Ci personally. Having not foreseen this, Taishi Dun tried to stop him but Sun Liao would not listen, so Taishi Dun struck Sun Liao out of anger and desperation. It was at this point that Taishi Ci heard the commotion of the two boys fighting each other that he found out the real problem. Taishi Ci was extremely dissapointed with his son, and because of that he sent him away to a military academy in Jian Ye. Taishi Dun spent the next eight years of his life learning the trade of a warrior and strategist. His banishment to the academy only increased his dislike for Sun Liao more, and made him yearn for the approval of his father even more. Now having just graduated with top marks, Taishi Dun returned home to a proud father, ready to fight for his kingdom. But he also returned to find his rival stronger then ever, Sun Liao.

When they met he told Sun Quan how to defeat Huang Zu. Because of this he was given military position within Wu's ranks. Gan Ning was sent to Yiling to fortify it, once fortified it became a target for Wei. They sent thousands of cavalry and surrounded Gan Ning. Most Wu generals insisted that they lacked the men to save him, but from Taishi Ci's request men were sent led by Taishi Ci to break him out. Right after this Taishi Ci was sent to He Fei and Gan Ning never got his chance to thank him, not until the funeral of Sun Liao.......

Normally, we don't let Canons as secondary characters unless it's been approved by an Admin. To my knowledge, Gan Ning hasn't been. I'm just checking, because he is a popular character and we tend to keep those open for primary characters.

Mikey approved it I believe, or Story teller whoever that is... But this is the message I received back when I asked:
That would be acceptable, however you should be aware that NPCs as famous as Gan Ning and Zhou Tai need to be available for players who ask to play them as a main character. Kinda the same thing as with Deng Ai and Jiang Wei.
I've never heard of the other guy, so go head.

Well, I don't think anyone is going to take him yet. I just didn't see an approval thing, so I figured I'd check And in that case, I'm going to take Zhou Tai until someone else wants him.
