Name: Lin Shuchun, "The Pure Beauty of the Forest" (opt.)
Age: 19.
Gender: Female
Style: Original
Residence: Shuchun was born in the Jian Ye province of China and has always lived there, though she lives in seclusion, away from the main city.
Personality:
Shuchun is a very shy woman, deciding to mostly hide herself from society. She doesn’t hate people by any means. She enjoys company, but a large number of people makes her feel nervous. She prefers the wilds for the beauty of nature. She loves animals and can often be seen leaving a small amount food out for the animals at night. She is often calm and serene, simply enjoying her life in seclusion. However, when backed into a corner, she can become a dangerous foe. In a fight, she uses all matter of dirty tricks to survive. She dreads the idea of capture and would, in fact, rather die than be forced to align herself with a kingdom.
Despite living by herself for so long in seclusion, she is a generous and courteous woman. She appreciates any help that may come her way, but does not always accept it. Shuchun is unsure of what to think of the wars that rage through China. She is mostly nervous about them and fears that, one day, her home will be caught in the crossfire. She can only hope that, should that day come, she will have found a kingdom to join and be comfortable with. Despite being a somewhat dirty fighter, Shuchun is not one to betray whoever has trusted her; at least not without warning.
Appearance:
Shuchun is a very beautiful woman. She has a voluptuous, yet graceful build. She has fair, unblemished, slightly pale skin that seems to have its own healthy glow. Her hair is long, thick and lustrous and is chestnut brown in color. Her hair is free flowing, yet has a ponytail at the top of her head. She has thin eyebrows and long, thick eyelashes. Her eyes are a very deep brown color. She has slightly thick lips that she always seems to have curled into a slight smile.
Shuchun’s outfit betrays her personality, in some ways. Her top simply consists of a sort of bustier. It is made of white silk with intricate gold trim. The clasp is in the front in the center of her chest. There are two long strings hanging from the bottom of bustier, bound together by a tuft of white fur. On upper arms, she wears golden circlets with a long, flowing and see-through white fabric that flows down to her knees. On her lower body, she wears something that somewhat resembles silk, tight fitting short shorts. In front, there is a white, pearl-like ornament that holds a long, white silk loincloth that runs down to her ankles. The same sort of loincloth flows from the center the back of her lower garment.
Shuchun doesn’t wear shoes, having gotten used to the wild terrain. She has a very intricate gold hair ornament that holds her ponytail, complete with a gold pin. In the center of her forehead lies an oval-shaped gold piece of jewelry with an amethyst jewel in the center. She wears golden, dangling earrings with small ruby beads embedded in them. She also has a beautifully crafted golden necklace, with matching golden wristbands with red tassels hanging from the edges.
Apparel/Armour:
Shuchun doesn’t actually wear any armor. She hasn’t had a real need to wear any armor as of late, but she is willing to wear armor should the need arise. Her preference would be chainmail.
Weapon(s):
Shuchun gauntlets that have claws on each finger. The gauntlets themselves are silken and white while the claws are made of metal and are purple. They are filed to the point of extreme sharpness. While they are not particularly useful in battle, they can be very useful in sneak attacks.
History:
Shuchun was born to a hermit man and woman, though her mother died in childbirth. They lived their lives in seclusion, far away from the persecutions of society. Shuchun was raised to survive off of the fruit of the land and respect nature. Her father was also sure to make sure that he taught her how to properly defend herself with his favorite weapons: the hand claws. She was also raised to be very suspicious of other people, being told that the ‘civilized man’ was not to be trusted. She could never understand why she was to never trust other people. All it truly did was make her very shy in a crowd. By the time Shuchun reached her early teens, she was more than capable of protecting herself and taking care of herself in the forest.
When she was 12, her father was mauled by a tiger, leaving her orphaned in the forest. She mourned her loss, but kept her teachings near and dear to her heart. By the time she was 15, she tried to be a bit more adventurous. She explored the forests more thoroughly and occasionally stumbled across a town or two. Deciding to push her limits, she wandered into one particular town and found a kiosk that held beautiful silk dresses and jewelry. When the store owner tried to shoo her away, because she obviously had no money, Shuchun was insulted; as a result, she waited for night to fall before moving in on the kiosk, stealing the dress she liked the most and a few bits of jewelry. The shop keeper tried to chase her down, but thanks to her knowledge of the forests, she was able to evade him and return home. That event has increased her shyness towards society, but she continues to take care of her newfound dress.
Upon Shuchun’s 16th birthday, she became more aware of the war that was going on. She was wondering through the forests, heading towards the more exotic jungles, when she witnessed the aftermath of a horrible battle. There were corpses and blood everywhere, causing her to flee back to her home. Though she was convinced that she had seen worse in nature, it was still a severe shock to her system. She has since become slightly mistrustful towards soldiers, but she can’t bring herself to believe that all of them are so cruel.
