So Kang Ren offered me a proposition over msn, here is what he said:
That sounded enticing to me, however he doesn't carry that many troops so idk if it would be worth it. Plus Brian might rape his face in a duel if he attempts to capture him. Especially so far behind enemy lines, it's kinda risky what do you guys think?

Hmm, this is a tricky situation here. I have knowledge that Monty was thinking on leaving Wei. Although he could be drunk.
Talk to him some more about it. I have to get going to work now (night shift). But I'll be home in 8 hours. Also, tell him to add me on msn.

I'll talk to him tomorrow.

Yeah, his character is more of a mercenary so he could just be trying to get a payday, of course you could offer it and then not follow up after the battle... A win would be a win, but I doubt that would be very good for his already distressed situation, you'd know if you read his cbox posts

So who's up for defending Xin Ye? I know I'm in.

I'd really like to participate actually. I'll buy like five-hundred cavalry or so and just complete the Rally the Peasants objective, allowing you plenty of troops to do the main fighting. What do you think?

Uhh, what kind of odds are we talking exactly? I'm not very good battle-wise I was looking forward to Steve giving me some pointers until he left to get married

We start with 4 onagers, a fort, and 225 tier two men. (And an additional 600 peasant if Liu Feng's strategy proves to work).
We can bring up to 5,000 men with us. Although, we only have 3,000 actually available.
Cao Cao will probably send 5,000 Tier Two troops and some siege equipment.
If we use the fort to our advantage, we'd be fine. I was already planning on hiding my elephants in the forests, and then engaging them at the last second to inflict a major morale loss.

Okay, sounds good. Probably should take some bowmen to pick off enemies as they try to assault the walls, also need some foot-soldiers to hold if they breach the walls, and to knock down the ladders.
If you guys are okay with this, I'll take my 500 cavalry and rally the peasants up top first, then go south and rally the others. You hold in the meantime and then hopefully both sides will be wounded enough that my 500 cavalry charging Wei's flank will have some effect. The peasants from the top farm will join your troop, the others I'll have follow mine slowly.
Also, I'm jealous! You beat me to claiming Liao Hua as my second NPC.

Oh sorry. Haha. Liao Hua worked closely with Zhuge Liang so I thought why not. If you want my second choice It would've been Zhou Cang, Yan Yan, or Zhang Ren.

Both sides can bring as many personal troops as they want!? Thats going to put us at a huge disadvantage...
EDIT - Someone might need to clarify the rules a bit for me. Do we have to state outright exactly where our character is at all times, and we can only RP in that place? I thought its pretty normal when a battle is declared for each side to pick their generals and have them there...

You guys need me to donate some troops to you for the battle?

Probably too late. You can not post in the battle and then take more troops. It seems they are bitching about Liu Feng's presence. Eternal, do not get disheartened just see what happens. I think they may let you take part. If not, you can come up to Han Zhong for the inevitable counter attack if you need some action. Good to have you with me again. I was Sun Ce from earlier when you were in Wu.

Ma Chao, don't be afraid to retreat from Chang An if there's too much pressure. I'd rather not have a general be in a situation where they might die or be captured.
But I'll leave it in your hands. Do what you feel is best.

Seems there was an argument over Wang Ji Xiang so I suggest we keep the defense to just Myself and Liu Feng so we can placate the Wei-bies who think their victory would be somehow threatened. I'll try to cause them as many casualties as I can, don't worry. When things get too rough I'm hitchhiking it outta there and retreating via the forest, I already told Justin I had elephants hidden in the trees. Then I can retreat southward towards the villages and the camps, and once rallying those defenders, retreat towards the main city of Xin Ye. No reason to get slaughtered when we can't even commit our Kingdom Troops to this battle. (Btw Liu Bei, buy more Kingdom Troops. )

The staff has decided I can have 100 rep to buy tier 2. So I guess we'll need to make that banquet? So does anyone want to start it? It's unseemly for the lord of a kingdom to plan a returning party for himself. (Plus I'm not good at setting the scene for those kinds of threads. I can reply to them, but setting them up... It'd be the worst party ever.)
