"Will Lord Sun Ce be making random inspections of the city?" Fei asked crafty. Huang Gai did not know the answer, they're had not been a scout from Jian Ye to deliver order's to Gai since Ce left for Jian Ye. Just now they were in the dark for now. But he was determined not to confess to this, to keep morale high in the city.
"Lord Sun Ce hasn't mentioned any inspection's in any report so far... But that doesn't mean we can slack off on our duty's! I expect more effort since Ce is now away."
Then Wang asked his question.
"And does this mean you want me to oversee the Fitness Program?"
Gai grinned, the fitness program Gai had developed before the battle of Jian Ye had been a major benefit in the battle. It was now in it's second phase and Gai needed willing Officer's to carry out the final part of the program.
"Yes that is correct. But I would like it if both of you worked together on it. It would benefit the troop's greatly. I will take the first day of the second phase, then both of you may take any day of the program you wanted."
Gai paused for a moment...
"If that is the end of your question's you may leave my office. I have both giving you more desirable quarters in the officer district. They will be more suitable for your new rank."
With that, Gai waited for a response.

Wang sat for a few moments and contemplated his new rank, and with it the new responsibilities; Gai had stated that Wang and Fei would be playing a large role in the continuation of the fitness program, as well as patrolling the district and ensuring the effectiveness of the army.
"I've no further questions for the moment, and if any do occur you'll be the first to know... Vanguard Prefect?" Li Wang hesitated before Huang Gai's title; it just sounded odd, the old General being a Prefect. But what Wang said was "My appologies, Vanguard Prefect, (this time his lips twitched into a nearly imperceptible smirk) the title itself just sounds strange. After another moment of apologetic words, Li Wang took his leave.
"Oh, Lu Fei!" He paused as he was at the door of Huang's office. When you get a moment could you meet me at my quarters? I have something I'd like to borrow your talents for. Wang left after he received an answer.

Lu Fei noded as Huang Gai said this," I see, I also have no more questions my lord, he rose up from his seat and was heading towards the door then he heard Li Wang say,"Oh, Lu Fei! When you get a moment could you meet me at my quarters? I have something I'd like to borrow your talents for.[/color]
He bowed, Very well I visit your quarters later in the day. Now if that is all that is left I take my leave, Lu Fei stated as he took his live to his new quarters

Li Wang entered the hustling Government Office, Gai's senior adviser's were polishing an immediate plan of action on a free from danger route to the battlefield at Wu with the Prefect. Map's were cluttered on the wall's and jumbled on the grand table. Gai and his wise advisers were pining out a satisfactory route before Wang entered. Gai looked up at the opening door as his men continued to work on they're assignment, too concentrated on the task on hand to notice the heavy wooden door's opening.
Gai stood up from his chair and welcomed Wang with open arm's.
"Good to see you again Tiger General Li." As Wang gave the standard protocol.
"Now, why have you requested an audience with me at this busy time of need?"

"Why for no other reason than to help plan the assault, Vanguard Prefect Huang. Two heads are better than one, no?" Li Wang stated as he studied the maps. "It would seem that this battle will occur in two phases. The first phase will involve the taking of this ford." Wang used a thin rod to point it out. "Our lord Sun should try to get his men over the ford before any effective resistance can be made, but if he fails to reach the ford before the enemy does he must push to take it. Either way, the ford should be his before we arrive. Once it is, we enter phase 2." Wang paused for breath. "During phase 2, Lu Fei, yourself, and I should arrive at the staging area. Lu Fei should take a mixed contingent of infantry in a fleet down the river (perhaps he can borrow Lady Hai's Mengchong fleet) to reinforce Sun Ce quickly, and I shall follow along the shore with the cavalry, again making all haste to join up with the Lord Sun. You, Prefect Huang, should march behind with the infantry, and we should all wait there until you arrive. "From there, we can split into two units. The first and smaller, under my command with the assistance of Lu Fei, should march on the supply base with a force comprised of crossbows, archers, swordsmen, and militia. We will take the base and then Lu Fei shall coordinate fire into the outpost whilst I take the infantry back to rejoin you and our Lord Sun, who should in the meantime be besieging the outpost." Wang had the whole time used the rod to point out his targets, and was now standing in a completely silent room. The advisers were staring in shock at the young warrior of twenty; evidently, not a one of them had thought of a plan anything like this.

The Prefect grinned as Li Wang hatched together a cunning plan. The aging veteran stroked his silvered beard in delighted.
"Yet again you do not fail to amaze me Li Wang! You have outwitted all of my senior adviser's." Some of the adviser's hid they're head's in shame, as Gai spoke those true word's.
"Now, will you join me in preparing our troop's for war out in the barracks courtyard?" As Gai picked up his trusty dagger-axe spear from the weapons rack and his assistants helped the Prefect put on his steel armor on quickly as Gai waited for a reply.

Li Wang could not help but feel a sort of child-like pride when Huang Gai praised his strategy; it was akin to a grandfather's praise."I am sure that given a little more time, any of the fine men assembled here would have thought of something close to that." That line was mostly for the advisers; he did not wish them to feel inferior. In fact, this was Li Wang's first truly good plan.
"Lead on, General." Li Wang bowed, and stood to one side so the General might lead the way. When they left, he collected his newly forged Crescent Moon Spear, as well as his reliable twin blades and his trusty short sword. Now all I need is a crossbow and my arsenal is complete! He thought with a wry smile.

Chapter 6: Green Light 6 Days Ago None of the guards thought to stop Li Wang as he sprinted up from the dungeons; he was, after all, the Tiger General, second only to Prefect and Vanguard General Huang Gai. The guards outside his office didn't stop him either; the one to the left merely opened the door for him.
Report! One of my men has captured a spy! He's currently being interrogated, but we should have our information soon. Sir... the man who caught him, I think he deserves a Commander's post. He's proven he has strength, and a quick wit as well.

The Prefect of Jian An was sharping his weapon; with a dense, sturdy rock he swiped up the blade lovingly. It was second nature to him, as the swiping became more agile and elegant. Suddenly the sound of quicken footstep's echoed into Gai's office. The large wooden door's opened immediately as Li Wang hastily entered, Gai continued to sharping his weapon as Wang spoke.
"Report! One of my men has captured a spy! He's currently being interrogated, but we should have our information soon. Sir... the man who caught him, I think he deserves a Commander's post. He's proven he has strength, and a quick wit as well."
Immediately Gai looked up towards Wang when he had learned this man had caught a spy.
"A spy?...... Bring me the man who caught this.. this RAT!" " Gai spat out. The veteran paused to calm down. "This man must have a name Wang, yes? I want to see this man face to face before any promotion is put on the table."

Chapter 7: The Recommendation As you command! Li immediately poked a head out the door and addressed the guards. You, go fetch Major Zhao Fai from the dungeon... assuming he's done interrogating the prisoner. The guard sped off after a quick 'Yes, General.' Despite being in the position for months now, Li could not quite get over the absurdity of a twenty-year-old being second in command of a city, let alone being a general. Li shook himself back to the present.
Li closed the door and turned back to the Prefect. This man, Major Zhao Fai, single-handedly captured this spy within 36 hours of being commissioned two days ago. He's been interrogating him ever since. Also, when he first entered the city, the regular army's most skilled swordsman found cause to quarrel with him, and Zhao Fai managed to best him with ease to the point where seven of the man's companions were to intimidated to attack him. He paused for a breath here; he'd been spouting this forth with his usual youthful exuberance. The soldier is still alive sir, though I must say I can't garuntee the same of the spy he's interrogating.

As Zhao Fai began to walk to his quarters, he was stopped by a runner. "Sir, you've been summoned to the Governor's Office."
Zhao Fai was almost surprised, but he was sure the Prefect of Jian An would like to know the details of Zhao Fai's interrogation. He nodded, dismissing the runner, and made his casually to the Governor's office.
His armor clanked ever so slightly as he walked, and the door was opened for him once he reached the Governor's office. He walked in, and saluted both Li Wang and Huang Gai, the prefect of Jian An. He walked in right as Li Wang was discussing the prisoner.
"Well, he won't be alive much longer; if I can speak frankly, sir, he is being eaten alive from the inside by two rats. Greetings sir, my name is Zhao Fai. it is an honor to meet you."

Huang Gai smirked as he learned of the spy's fate.
"Charming." "He deserves no better."
Gai walked towards Fai and raise his muscular arm out to shake his hand. Fai met him halfway and the Prefect of Jian An give him a firm handshake. The veteran towered over the Major like a mountain.
"Please take a seat Major" Gai pulled out a seat witch was tucked under Gai's command table. Has Fai squatted on the chair. Gai turned to Li Wang. "Thank you General Wang, You may leave. Sent a messenger to Jian Ye to inform Lord Sun Ce about our trouble with a spy."
The elite sat across from the Major; Staring intently into Fai's eye's. It was Gai's aim to find out what make's Zhao Fai tick. Fai will have to be on his tip toe's to prove that he isn't deficient for such a high position in Sun Ce's army. Even if he hasn't realized that he is just about to be interrogated to become the newest General in Jian An.
Gai picked is weapon he had been sharping earlier and selected a new rock on his table to sharpen it with. The veteran stoked the blade steadily and looked up at Fai. The stoking got progressively faster as Gai spoke. The blade gleamed into the Major's eye's.
"Tell me Zhao Fai, what is your ambition in life...."
