New Battle Setup - Battles will be changed to involve larger campaigns to take just a single piece of land. Objectives will be given and smaller-sized maps will bring about more to do and a variety of things to do. Among them subplots will play a much larger role in taking land, again lowering the workload of staff and hopefully giving you more variety in your previously one dimensional three kingdoms rp.
Forward Armies - It was a bit narrowminded to just use garrison forces to attack and defend. Wei's massive fleet at Chibi did not just come from northern Jing or one area of the central plains now did it? Forward armies will be purchasable forces that can be customised with lesser used weaponry of the era to massive effect. These will be your main attacking forces, whilst think of garrisons as your defenenders of most situations.
Map and Land Change - Land will have changed hands on a few occasions with this update. Ma Teng, Gongsun Zan, Liu Zhang and Yuan Shu will all have died in the ensuing chaos and diplomatic tensions will begin to trouble every major player-controlled nation. Cao Cao will be surrounded by potential enemies. Liu Bei whilst gaining much land will have the attention of Li Jue and a non-trusting Huang Zu, whom has taken control of Liu Biao's military in recent times. Sun Ce will find his land increasing as well not only taking Wu but Chai Sang and Hui Ji as well to consolidate his forces in the south. Cities will be edited by me as well at some point, giving some of the major NPC gainers of this update a dangerous edge to their blades, resulting hopefully in a troubling decision to make for rulers... trust another player-based kingdom or find help from one of the unpredictable NPC forces?
Ongoing Battles - These will not be auto-resolved like you might have expected, instead think of them as past-stories from here on in. Roleplay your victories for you have gained the land and make it as epic as you can for maximum rewards. Enjoy writing with your fellow officers and against the staff who use the npc account. Remember there are no battle losses now, so do not roleplay like in a battle, roleplay like a normal storyline and enjoy it. I hope this is a good enough compromise for you all and if any of you do not want to continue, then by all means you do not have to, but the option is there for you. Please allow myself until a similar time tomorrow for a reply in Wan though, thanks.
Writing up the story thus far - I will begin writing up the plot changes when freetime strikes me again, hopefully within the next day, it will detail all the goings on, who gained what and why etc etc. So stay posted on that one.
Thanks for continued support guys, I hope these updates are what you've all been waiting for!
