Just because a man dies for it, doesn't make it right.
Name: Zhao Fai
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Style: Original
Residence: Originally Jian Xia
Personality:
Zhao Fai would just as soon define himself as a fearless warrior as he would label himself a curbside philosopher, a hopeless romantic. Quick-witted and sarcastic, Zhao Fai can be just as big of a hand full on the battlefield as he can be in a conversation. Humble to the end (except when drunk) Fai is also an addict to adrenaline. He lives life on the edge, acting first and thinking later.
Appearance::
Standing at a respectable 5'8'', Zhao Fai looks older than his age. His body is riddled with the scars you would expect of a veteran of combat, and his gaze is the most intimidating thing about him. It seems to not see through you, but to see something different all together. While he is not "ripped" or "cut", he is still toned and physically fit. Fai is still physically gifted, just not as much as those who are the Tiger Generals. He relies on his careful combination of agility and physicality. His Dao is sheathed on his left side, and his Jian is sheathed on his right.
Apparel/Armour:
His armor is a basic medium-weight plate-mail, the armor often worn by captains in the military. He polishes it before each battle, and knocks out the dents once he returns to camp. When not on the battle field, he can be found in basic light leather armor. this is his preferred armor; light and in no way hinders his physical abilities.
Weapon(s):
His first weapon is a 1.2m length Dao. The thicker, curved steel blade is accented by a supple black leather handle. In the blade is etched a wolf, vicious and hungry. At the hilt of the blade is a silver ring encasing a steel disk. In the disk is the onyx outline of a wolf.
His second sword is a 1.2m length Jian. In this blade is engraved the outline of a falcon, talons and wings spred and ready for the kill. The handle is the same soft black leather. A silver ring at the base of this swords contains a jade disk; within this disk is embedded the onyx outline of a falcon.
History:
The son of a soldier, Zhao Fai would love to sit and listen to the stories his father told him. Zhao Fai was physically gifted, but nowhere near as exceptionally as those who grew to be the great generals of China; this only made Zhao Fai want to be a warrior more. As soon as he could, he would have his father explain to him different battle strategies that he had taken part in. Then, his father taught him how to wield a sword, but a single sword wasn't exciting enough for Fai. Eventually he began wielding two, and the amount of focus required to do so excited Fai. When Fai was 21, his father passed away from a heart attack; 5 months later, Fai's wife and child died in a house fire (the cause was never determined, but Fai assumed it the fire from their fireplace was the culprit.)
By this time, Fai was a militia man in the Jian Xia militia. He was not good with emotion; in order to grieve, he would need to be drunk. By being drunk, he grieved even more. Fai felt guilty when he was not grieving for his father, wife and daughter which caused him to spend more than half a year in a drunken stupor, drinking his life and talents away. Eventually his friends in the militia brought him to his senses, and he was back to full capacity by the age of 24.
At 25 he had been upgraded to the rank of Captain within the Jian Xia militia, but he could no longer stay there; the memories were to thick and contagious. His troops gained word of his eventual departure, and they asked to come with him. Zhao Fai, however, couldn't let them come with. He needed to find himself and he couldn't do that withany interference. Fai now travels the land, looking to find something to fight for, something to believe in, and to etch his name in China's history.
