Jia Xu is a quiet scholar. A man who must sit back and evaluate everything and anything before making suggestions. His most primary function of thought are those bound by his rune sticks. His rune sticks consists of smalls shards that tell him whether or not he will win or lose, and it is because of this high superstition that he has yet to achieve anything great. But there will be time, he believes, when the rune sticks shall be cast and the die will speak of wonders, and it will be then that he comes out from the bleak darkness of the confines and spread his wings....but until then, he is simply quiet and collective.
Appearance:
Jia Xu is estimated to be nearly six foot tall, weighing in at one hundred and eighty pounds. He has a sharp, thin face, with small, beady eyes that stretch across his face. His nose, small, not heavily rounded and pointed stretches between two shallow cheek bones, where his mouth sits beneath his nostrils in a permanent pursed like position.
His body is thin but powerful. His arms are slender, and on each side of the black and blue robes are small short swords which he uses in combat.
Apparel/Armour:
Jia Xu wears leather armour, patched with lamellar plating over a black and blue robe. The armour covers the majority of his torso, shoulders and outer thighs.
Weapon(s):
Two small swords make up his weapon collection. They are no more than five feet in length with an ebbed blade that swerves slightly as it extends. The blades, one designed for slashing, is used in his right hand, whilst the smaller weapon in his left is well pointed and rigid, used for piercing. He has named his swords Death Bringers.
History:
Jia Xu was the landowner of a small village to the south of Zhao county when the Yellow Turban Rebellion took place. The village, that no longer shares a spot on a map, for it no longer exists - held a small council hall or goverment office, a selection of thatch roofed huts and a few barns and farms where animals would graze and where crops would be cut for the summer harvests.
His father and mother had belonged to that very village, and they had perished within its dying embrace when the Yellow Turbans had 'purged' it from Han influence in the year 184.
Through the flames of his dying village, rumour spread that the remaining shards of charred wood turned into five rune sticks, which Jia Xu held and cried over. Since then, Jia Xu had served Dong Zhuo, remaining in the distance with his sticks, building the superstitions that would soon make him famous...
