"When a man is in the world, O, He ought to do his best.
And when he's done his best, O. He ought to have his rest.
And when I have my rest, O, I'll quaff my wine with zest.
And when I'm drunk as drunk can be, O, I'll sing the madman's litany."
- Zhou Yu
Name: Zhou Yu, Gongjin
Age: 44
Gender: Male
Style: Canon
Residence: Jianye
Personality:
All popular media points to Zhou Yu being of the cold calculated demeanor, an intelligent and well mannered man. This Zhou Yu, however, has grown slightly older, more wisened and not quite as quick to hold his tongue. He has attained ranks higher than most and achieved more than almost any other man during the time, a pure rival to that of Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi.
Appearance:

Zhou Yu is older, and as such carries himself with a higher grace than he did during his Chi Bi days. He retains his youthful appearance, a trait that followed him from his earliest days; once compared to Zhuge Liang, he was called the younger man, despite his actual age. His vanity may be one of his biggest faults, as he likes to look distinguished, and hates being reminded of his youthful appearance.
Apparel/Armour:
Zhou Yu wears simple armor, nothing fancy. When he takes to the field, he wears armor that looks as in his appearance, though he retains a near identical outfit to wear during court.
Weapon(s):
Zhou Yu wields a simple Jian and a longbow.
History:
The story of Zhou Yu's life up to the battle of Chi Bi is one that everyone knows. After the battle of Chi Bi, Zhou Yu was seriously wounded by an attack by Cao Ren, however he was able to rally back and defeat the general.
Zhou Yu was recalled back to Jian Ye to serve as an adviser to Sun Quan. There, Zhou made more of a name for himself, helping Quan in the pacification of the Shanyue barbarians, enabling him to both forcefully and diplomatically subjugate the southern reaches of Eastern Wu. Afterwards he was stationed in the south to oversee the integration of the new people into Wu life.
Zhou has since languished there, as no major wars have been fought. He's petitioned Quan to bring him back to Jian Ye, and until recently, he was rebuffed at every instance. However, with the recent rumblings of war and the reasserting of an alliance with Shu, Zhou Yu has been recalled to Jian Ye, where he is to begin formulation of a strategy to topple the giant kingdom of the north, and it's leader, Cao Cao.
