Well I say you keep on using purchases for troops and siege weapons. We don't need naval units yet, we can hold off Wu and attack Shu for now.
Maybe wait next week when you get all that gold, and only spend it when you get 100 fame. Only 30 away.

That's what I was planning on. I plan on having 100 rep by next week, then I'll bolster the kingdom with more. I don't need a personal army just yet so all the money will be going on Kingdom troops. Remember to check the force thread for troops available in your respective regions of operation, but don't use them unless you must, as they're primarily a defending body right now. Your personal armies are for your skirmishing needs.
I'm waiting on Cao Ren or someone to joint he force so I can have them hold Wan against Kongming, before any attacks occur. You can harrass Hanzhong all you want Sima but don't go for a full attack just yet, it's not smart until we have more personnel and troops.

We should attack Shu first, seeing that Shu is the weakest of the 3 Kingdoms and has less fortifications, yet they have a mountain advantage.
Wu, should be saved for last.

We're not that far along yet, but that is likely the way to go in the long run. In the meantime I'd have you all develop your characters with each other, create a personality to play with, get to know your fellow officers in-game.

Justin just offered me Guan Yu (he's been captured if no one realised), it would be a nice little reunion me thinks, but he wants something for it, he asked for Shouchun I told him to shove it, now he wants some moneh. Anyone want to weigh in before something happens.

Depends on the value of the general. In all honesty, attacking the weakest kingdom is never the best idea. Should we extend into Shu territory, our resources will be stretched, leaving us weak against the true threat that is Wu. That being said, even if Shu is considered weak they have a few good rpers there.
We should harass Shu for sure, but I wouldn't do a full scale attack right away. make sure you have enough troops to hold off Wu should they exploit us over-extending.

Sima Yi's harassing Shu right now, but not in a full scale attack.
As for Guan Yu, what could we even do with him? No reason to give up anything for him.

The only thing I can gain from aquiring Guan Yu is a good bit of role play with Colby for our character's, perhaps it's worth it in that sense, of course we have nothing to gain perhaps another debt from Guan.
I wouldn't be giving anything up for it though. Justin wants 1500g for him.

I would agree to let him back into Wei, but we must also remember, Liu Bei may lead an attack on us, since that is his sworn brother. But, if we had Guan Yu, we should keep him away from Shu as much as possible.

Just take his weapons, gold, etc. away and send him to exile in Liaodong.
I'm not sure, I think 1,500g is a bit too much for what we could gain. He would somehow leave us sooner or later anyway and won't serve us in any battles or so, especially against Shu. I don't think it's really worth the money.

If anything I want to shampoo his beard. A nice little reunion that can keep him away from Gong for a little while, perhaps even organise a meeting with him and Xuande on our borders to reminisce and turn him against Sun Quan who plans to become Emperor, its a good opportunity to set them against each other again, I want Yiling without the Liu Bei fail part.
I agree that 1500g is too much, we could fuel the fires of war with that. What would be a reasonable bounty for Guan do you guys think?

Uh... I'm a little bit confused now. According to this thread, Guan Yu escaped to Shu. If that's true, we can forget this idea, can't we?
