Five years later, by chance or my luck or by fate, he arrived in the Zhuo Commandery where he met Liu Bei, who he greatly admired, and later, Zhang Fei. After meeting up, they began to get to know each other and discussed what was happening in the land and wanted to do something. These three individuals then swore an oath of brotherhood in the Peach Garden, once strangers and now three brothers who would stick with each other until death and would not die without the other.
After the oath, then they raised a volunteer army to aide in the Yellow Turban Rebellion. After successfully aiding the Han, he was rewarded with a post in Qingzhou. The three brothers had stayed together ever since, including the coalition against the tyrant Dong Zhuo where they fought with the legendary Lu Bu.
The next time they met Lu Bu, was when he came to Xuzhou after being defeated by Cao Cao, and asked for refuge. However when Yuan Shu came to attack and after being asked by Cao Cao to stop Yuan Shu’s advance, Liu Bei and his brothers responded. However, Xuzhou fell into the hands of Lu Bu.
Leaving the central plains, the three brothers sought refuge with a relative of Liu Bei, Liu Biao and was given Xin Ye. Though they were out of danger, there was alot more for Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to face...
