"There's no such thing as good or evil. Just two sides with different opinions."
♠ ♠ ♠
Name: Lu Wei
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Style: Original
Residence: Xin Ye
♠ ♠ ♠
Personality:Lu Wei is actually a victim of a rather rare psychological sickness that involved him having more than one set of personalities, otherwise more modernly known as a multi-personality disorder. Yes, Lu Wei has more than one distinct personality, and both of them are aware of each other's existence, and both personalities would be proper described here.
Lu Wei's true and original personality displays a young and cheerful man who sought for nothing but to live his life, with no particular goal in life at all. He does not hesitate to take action when he needs to be. He is the kind of person who would help those in need without asking much for return, and enjoys the merry company of others. He is an honorable individual who would rather tackle problems head on than run away or use under-handed means to resolve matters.
He is a smooth-talker, both in political and social situations. He has a tone of experience, and charisma that simply provokes at people's attentions. He knows his assets, and he displays them well, giving himself a more proper display that is worthy of respect and adoration. He does not anger easily, and keeps himself calm in order to maintain verbal advantage over his conversational partners. With a cunning mindset, an analytical mind and a sharp tongue, Lu Wei is able to talk his way out of almost every situation, and has a way of getting things out of the toughest of people. Words can be sharper than swords, after all.
He is also quite analytical, and enjoys reading deeper into the simplest of actions, like a tensing of a muscle, or a redirection of eye contact. He interprets these simple and discreet actions into clear messages, ones that he then uses against them. Of course, he often does not use this for cruel purposes. At least, on his own will.
Having being raised as he was, Lu Wei can be a loyal subject to have, once his trust and respect has been earned. He is neutral when it comes to strategic discussions, and is considerably careful of his words.
Overall, Lu Wei is actually quite a friendly and sociable individual that. Lu Wei is a man many would treasure as a friend. He is not exactly the enthusiastic kind to jump around and scream just for the heck of it, but he is cheerful and does not exactly get irritated or depressed easily. A great company to have, to cut it short.
And then comes his other personality, the masked dark side of him. As soon as Lu Wei puts on the mask, whether by choice or not, he is then taken over by his other personality, who refers only to himself as 'Hei', or in English, Black. This personality was a self-developed defense mechanism, but that would be explained further down in his history.
Hei is a cruel and blood thirsty individual who enjoys nothing more than a good fight and a little bit of bloodshed. He shows no remorse, no respect and no honor in combat, often resorting to underhanded means to fight. Also, due to the psychological effects of such a personality, Lu Wei's physical capabilities are better made use of by Hei, making him a whole lot greater fighter than Lu Wei is. He has a very sinister take in life, and he believes not in peace, for he doubts the human capability to ever achieve such a period.
He also allows him to find some thrill in the battlefield. That is, he tries to find as much enjoyment as he could on killing. And for him, the best type of entertainment in the battlefield was the kind that could really cross swords with him and give him a challenge. Not once has Hei ever been beaten to a duel too, his worst result being only a tie. And he prides in this fact.
Crude, pessimistic and a battle-junkie, Hei is the complete opposite of Lu Wei, and yet both of them makes a perfect combination in the battlefield, as Hei allows Lu Wei to take over for strategic purposes, and then Lu Wei gives way for Hei to participate in combat. Hei is only seen to appear when Lu Wei wears the mask, but sometimes Hei pushes a bit of control over his host and forcing him to put on the mask. Of course, Hei respects Lu Wei and does not does that unless Lu Wei's physical body is at risk, for it is the body that Hei shares too.
If there is one thing that the two despises commonly, though, other than sometimes each other, it would be lord Yuan Shao, for his acts against Lu Wei's people.

Appearance:[/size][/li][/ul][/blockquote]
- Lu Wei
- Hei
Standing at 5'9'', Lu Wei weighs about a good 170 lbs, a clear indication of the young man's fitness level. He is well-built, his body toned and his muscles defined. He has a rather average complexion for a Chinese. His body holds very little battle marks, save on his back, where he was often whipped to obedience back as an eunich. His skin is otherwise smooth, body hair almost insignificant. He is pretty much your every day well-built swordsman.
He keeps his black hair to his shoulders, a distinct habit that Lu Wei has come to pick up. He has a pair of brown eyes that are so dark they seem almost black. His eyes are considerably narrow, his eyebrow slightly thin. His hair reaches down to his shoulders, covering his forehead and ears, and also some parts of his eyes, from view. He has a perfect pair of pearly white teeth, and barely has any trace of lower facial hair.
In terms of clothing, Lu Wei has various attires. The most recognised one would be his battle attire, which will be explained in the next section. Others would include his formal pearl-white robes, his various tunics and pants and other such clothing. He also has a black traveling cloak that he dons whenever he is going traveling.

Apparel/Armour:
- Battle Armor
An armor that has been used for a number of generations now, as evident by the number of chips upon the armor. Made of steel with cloth under layer, the armor is actually considerably light and with Lu Wei having being used to the armor, it feels almost weightless. He wears a grey tunic under the armor, said item only consisting of a chest piece and waist guards. The armor has uneven paulders, with the left arm being larger than the right, mostly using for ramming. His left arm is fully armored, while his right arm is covered in white bandages, though finished with similar gauntlets. The armor has groin guards, and greaves that reaches up to his knees, the rest of his legs covered by a pair of black pants. Lu Wei hears no helmet, instead cladding the mask of Hei if need be.- White Robes
When not in battle, this is more often than not the common attire that Lu Wei always wear. A white robe kept onto his body by a black waist band. Made of silk, this clothing is meant to keep the wearer warm and comfortable, as it reaches up to the neck, his wrists and his ankles. More often than not, Lu Wei wears a black tunic underneath. This is Lu Wei's sort of formal attire too.- Hei Mask
The mask is made of porcelain and is painted pearl white. Holes are made for the eyes and is covered with a thin layer of black silk fabric that allows the wearer to see perfectly despite the mask. This, however, makes it hard for people to see into the mask and thus his eyes. A thin red line is drawn horizontally across the lips, with a few small holes drilled through to allow breathing. A drawing of a blue lightning bolt is also located on the right side of the mask, the tip cutting through the right eye. It is held upon him by a leather strap that goes behind his head. The mask is not mostly a form of armor, but a form of identification for Lu Wei's sort of alter-ego, Hei.
And of course, he has more than one of these.
Weapon(s):
- Short Sword | Level 1
A short sword that Lu Wei had managed to salvage during his escape the years back, this short sword has been sharpened by Lu Wei himself, during his recovery and before he left for Shu. A straight one-sided blade, Lu Wei, or more precisely, Hei is able to wield with considerable expertise. The hilt of the blade is white, while the pommel and the guard are black.- Normal Sword | Level 2
A sword that Lu Wei purchased upon employment under Liu Bei as one of his officers. Figuring that it would be best to arm himself with two weapons instead of one, Lu Wei had this sword made for him in similar form of his short sword. Now, Lu Wei carries both swords into battle, but sometimes only uses the short sword when he loses this sword.
♠ ♠ ♠
History:Lu Wei is actually a child of an eunuch. A son of an eunuch. Impossible, you may claim, but there was always the choice of adoption. Yes, Lu Wei was an abandoned child adopted by an eunuch while the man was traversing through the city, accomplishing tasks set to him by his master. The man was Lu Cheng, an eunuch and a military commander under the employment of the Han Imperial Court, based in Luoyang. Despite being a child of an eunuch, though, Lu Wei was never castrated. And so, he remained a mere peasant. Only, he was recognised also as an eunuch.
Of course, Lu Wei was then raised in the ways of an eunuch. He was made to become an assistant advisor of sorts, taught in the ways of war, politics and social understanding. Of course, he was also made to learn a bit of skills with a sword, but it was only meant to be used for defense, or for defending the emperor. And Lu Wei did grow up. Of course, everything changed in 189, when Lu Wei was 18. It was in this period that the controversy of the capabilities of eunuchs were questioned by a man named He Jin, also influenced by Yuan Shao.
The Ten Attendants, ten powerful eunuchs, were accused of being corrupt, and bringing the Emperor along with them. So, He Jin and Yuan Shao made the Ten Attendants to apologise to the Court. And the action itself brought a lot of shame and distrust upon the eunuchs, who were then forced to start thinking for their own welfare, and this included further training of the sword. Though, they figured that they would be left alone then, but He Jin then requested for them to be slaughtered nine months later. Retaliating to this request, the Ten Attendants lured He Jin out with a forged decree, before beheading him in the courtyard.
The palace turned chaotic.
Yuan Shu attempted to drive the eunuchs out of the palace by setting one of the gates on fire. And it was at this moment that Lu Wei was trying to escape with Lu Cheng. By means of cunning, quick-thinking and sneakiness, the pair managed to get out of the city unharmed, but not without trouble, for a squad of a dozen soldiers had noticed them. And of course, the adopted father and son were forced to flee from the 10 soldiers, as the rest of the eunuchs back at the palace were being slaughtered. Lu Wei and Lu Cheng were chased all the way to a ditch, where they were forced to make a final stand.
Determined to protect his son, Lu Cheng charged forward, managing to cut down eight of the soldiers, a surprising feat despite being a mere eunuch, yet not mostly due to his rank as a military commander. And he fell upon the ground, dead, in front of his traumatised son, Lu Wei, who could only watch and cry, as he fell to his knees. "Live, son." were his last words. It was at this moment that Lu Wei's mind snapped, as he started talking to himself so quickly, as the remaining four soldiers closed in on him, that he developed a second personality, one that offered to protect him.
Of course, desperate and lost, he let the other personality take over, and with seemingly renewed strength, Lu Wei watched with his own eyes as his body seemingly moved on its own, picking up his father's short sword and one of the masks that his father kept in his robes. You see, the mask was a representation of the eunuchs, a symbol of irrecognition, that they were faceless people, made to have no freedom of self-expression or will. And it was then that Hei was born, as he slaughtered the remaining four soldiers, before fleeing. He buried his father's corpse, borrowed his armor and weapon, before moving to escape the eyes of the Han court.
It was only at an abandoned hut did Lu Wei recover from personality switch, and he had then come to accept it as who he was, though of course making a mental note to keep Hei a secret as much as he can. And in the five years from then, Lu Wei has constantly trained himself, the man dedicated to holding to his father's wishes. To live and to survive. And after five years, the man has finally come out of solitude, with an intention to join the kingdom said to be the most virtuous among the three.
Shu.
