There seemed to be no mention of the man she had begun to resent, indeed a small matter but one that brought great pleasure to the Lady Huang. Observing the mannerisms of the Imperial Uncle, it was clear to the young woman that he was of rare breed and seemingly a kind man. Yet, there harboured something against the woman she named Aunt, perhaps a fear or even dislike? Nevertheless, the Lady Huang chuckled to the adoration Liu Bei had for her hometown; indeed a sight to see and something of the Realm's garden. It's scenary was superior and the situation of the city allowed trading routes to be created along the delta of the great river..to inherit such a vacinity would bring untold benefits to the one placed in power. "Indeed you speak the truth Lord Liu, the landscape of Xiangyang is quite sublime." Allowing a short giggle to escape the veil, the Lady Huang felt drawn to this man infront of her and it was strange to admit that he had a quality that made her want to know more..
A matter of presence was created, after all she was linked to his kinsman through the Lady Cai and it would be unsurprising that she'd attempt some agent who could recollect the happenings of the Green Banner administration. The eyes observed the Masterful gentlemen, the rumours were becoming true and the Lady Huang could not deny she was becoming intoxicated with him..indeed not in the sense of romance, but one who was in the presence of a power far greater than first percieved; it was a mystery if Liu Bei knew his own potential... "I have some understanding of the friction created between yourself and my Aunt, however, my presence is not one of ill repute. Perhaps it would be custom that I move to serve my Uncle, but there is something dwindling within." Looking to the ground, the eyes spoke more than words put together to convey the worry she had for the future of her family. Not only for her father, but also for her Aunt and the Uncle she did not truly know. His health was not at its strongest and many of her family were searching for the justification of continuing their powerful influence. "I can foresee that many will begin to condemn my family, I care for my Aunt very much, however...the tension she is creating I cannot allow my son to grow up in, his future I hold more than my own life; thus I must drift from the household."
It was true, the Lady Huang was indeed the respectable wife but at first the role of the mother was far too important to her. With the absence of the disliked husband, her son Zhan was all she had left to love in this world..the increasinly dangerous situation that was growing within Xiangyang was something no child should experience. "Hence I am at your door Lord Liu, but please do not see my presence as hoping to take advantage of the relation-through-marriage we may share." Already the young woman could see the many officials wagging their tongues, believing this woman wishing to take the benefits of having some relation to Liu Bei. "I wish to achieve something on my own merit, to set the foundations for my son to have the future that many children of our realm are being denied." To sacrifice ones own happiness for the sake of their son, the ultimate role of the mother..
Once more the gaze returned to Liu Bei, the eyes had become watered and something rose within her. Perhaps surrounding herself with the images of the Phoenix was finally taking affect and the form of the celestial bird was being created within. "I have studied the stars and mastered the terrains, though a woman my martial skills are indeed basic but they are for mere protection and can be developed. My skills are within theories, the policies of civil ventures and the devices of strategies." Smiling, the voice retained it's purity but it seemed to be coming from a confidence that had been repressed for many years; finally seeing some form of light that shone the way to the establishment of her own name..through her own acclaim. "Though you have gained many talents, I wish to give you aid with all matters; I see potential within you..for the Dragon circulates your being." It was a matter of tradition and one that could not be forgotten hard, as the Lady Huang moved to her knees and placed her forehead to the floor. Infront of the council and the Imperial Uncle, suplicated for a life far better than she could have in the continuation of Liu Biao's rule in Xiangyang...

Liu Bei was held at the throat for a moment by what she had said, such a humble man as he; he hadn't expect such an asset so early. He stroked his face and composed himself a little - his face turning a little more serious before he responded.
"Lady Huang, a binding through marriage is nothing compared to the relation we serve here; within my territory.. Me and my oath brothers though not born on the same day; we strive to die on the same, family is much more than blood - do not think me ill will."
He smiled, he wasn't a man to exploit nor to treat someone so poorly. He wouldn't exploit the young woman, he drank his tea gently to control his thoughts and compassion momentarily.
"Currently I own nothing more than two cities and a handful of generals, I, myself am nothing more than a sandal weaver however I cannot doubt ones foresight such as yours and if you are willing to serve beneath one such a lowly as me, then I would be beyond honoured my lady."
Liu Bei wept a little at the womans generosity, his cities were simple, his generals were merely veterans, volunteers and brutes. Liu Bei was a charismatic man, but not a mastermind; at least not yet. Then she mentioned the dragon, something that went deep within Liu Bei.. he had yet to meet the man who she held with so much horror or even hear of him.
"With a woman as acclaimed in knowledge as yourself, there is no end to our climb! My lady."
Liu Bei laughed in joy, clapping his hands merrily. It was hard to pin point Liu Bei's character, he was childish to some extent, but not to the extent that it affected his vision. Though he was virtuous, kind and considerate - his rage when inflicted with anger would not stop until revenge and closure was found. Some claimed his image just to be a mere ploy, others claimed him just to be simple. It was hard to tell.
"Together, we shall craft a new future for the country, for you, for I, for your son and the nation. A land of freedom, virtue and peace. That is my ambition, if you would assist me I would be indebted to you for the rest of my life."
Liu Bei wept a little bit more; he had never expected that his little settlement and his cause would attract such notorious people and before he knew it he had become one of the strongest forces and most renowned leaders, the cause of Liu Bei was spreading further and further.
"I am not a civil servant, nor a strategist, magistrate, philosopher or a genius like you my lady. I am merely an ancestor of the Han who holds a duty to my country."
He said honestly, with several tears rolling down his face. Thanking the forces above that had granted him this asset.

A smile appeared as the words reached her ears, for so long the Lady Huang had wished to hear the gratification of her support..indeed she had heard it many a times from her husband, but it was falsified by his actions taking all credit where it wasn't his due. Rising from the ground the pledge had been made, the young woman could see all that was the man before her; the temper he could have serge through his being was something she would never truly understand until flared. This situation would have to be delt with when the time came, and something she believed she could handle..if the Lady Huang could deal with the ferocious tantrums of a child then she could handle any aging man. Gazing to the tears that formed in Liu Bei's eyes, it seemed to touch the still soft heart that she possesed. "Your administration has the wisdom of veterans while gaining a considerable amount of strength from the youth that share your vision, do not fear the possibilities of defeat; for the Dragon, most auspicious, shall always sore to the Heavens." Though a young woman herself, it was clear that motherdom had changed the Lady Huang to a being of untold warmth and a security that only a loving mother could provide. It was the reason for many people's trust within her, while being a person not to turn their backs upon the companions she held dear...
"My Lord, I understand my inferiority to the advisors you have. But I wish to gain a more concrete vision of your ideals, the movements to Yong'an suggest that you wish to venture into Ba Shu. What are your desires for this direction?" The sound of refering to Liu Bei as Lord was refreshing, something that perhaps suited her quite well. Indeed they were family, but at first came the small fact that she was now his sub-bordinate and to answer as servant; thus protocol was upheld..and somewhat enjoyed. As the question was placed, the Lady Huang allowed a small chuckle to escape her lips with the realisation of the reasoning behind such a change in course to head West. "Was it my Uncle who suggested this?" It would be clear to why, in order to divert her Aunt's attention away from Liu Bei for a certain amount of time for him to gain a stronghold and standing before the Cai family began their move. "Your fear within the Cai clan is understandable, however, I emplore you to think of other matters; leave my Aunt to me." An eyebrow raised, though her father could gain entrance to the inner-chambers of Liu Biao's administration..the subject of Lady Cai was quite easily the terrain of the Lady Huang, as women of a household would share a far deeper bond; after all..her and the Lady Cai were blood relatives, a thick substance that could not be ignored...
"I believe reaching into Ba Shu shall give life to your Kingdom, the city of Chengdu should be your desire; for the agricultural prowess is something that could power your military. Yet, there is an important matter I wish to hear your views upon; the heir apparent to the forces of Xiangyang." Thinking further on the matter, it seemed the Lady Huang had thought a lot about the matter of which route Liu Bei should go.. With a small blush, fortunately hidden by the veil, the young woman inclined her head in shame; she had noticed that she was perhaps over-stepping her status..a status that she had yet to gain. "I must apologise deeply my Lord, my words ran too long and I have not yet proven myself of any worth; I bring shame in pressing matters that belong to the areas of your most trusted advisors.."

Liu Bei nodded, hearing her out. The young beautiful woman spoke not only wisely but also extremely sophisticated. His arms folded slightly, placing either arm inside the robe so both hands were covered before he closed his eyes for the ultimate question. Ambition. Could he trust this woman? Was she merely just a spy of Lady Cai trying to suss him out?
"You bring honour to not only our house, but our administration; I have been blessed by the youth, talent are great minds that come to serve a simple man as myself."
He smiled, bowing his head and clasping his hands once more showing his gratitude towards the woman before answering her questions, slowly but also very carefully.
"A dragon doesn't chart his course, but rather follows the direction that his time grants him. The question of moving to Ba Shu has always troubled me, the journey is long and the terrain treacherous.. and I cannot forsake the defence of my Lord Liu Biao."
He replied to her question, his ambitions were kept under lock and key, only when opportunity presented itself would Liu Bei make his move, and he'd need advisors, men of military prowess and a turning point in order to do so.
"Your Uncle granted me with the charity of my first region; his enemies are also my enemies, My lady. Xuande does not forget the charity of others."
He said smiling, the expansion of Liu Biao's lands was also his gain - whilst they were on good relations at least.
"Hmm, what you say interests me.. but currently we do not sit in a position of expansion.. We must first solidify our position before we can make a move.. no matter how radical."
He answered the question, uncertain of the route of his forces. Liu Bei was reluctant to make a move, especially that would hinder his own clan. It was imminent, the breaking of the family line - when Liu Bei would have to face his own. The very thought haunted him and so far had refused to dishonour the traditional family code and forsake his own.
"I thank you once again, a great feast will be at your honour before you leave to seek an audience with Lady Cai, my lady Huang."
Liu Bei bowed his head low. If Liu Bei could control relations with Lady Cai there could be a chance to control the stability of the southlands and even incorporate her as a vassal. Liu Bei wished to combat the tyrants with the least amount of force as possible. He didn't want to kill the Cai clan, nor take his Lord's lands as his own.
"Please.. save you apologies; your interest is good. I sense great things from you, Please do not disappoint me, my lady."
Liu Bei grinned finally before dismissing her at last. He couldn't help but to feel safe around the woman, like he held the shield and he held the sword. He stroked his chin, deciding to await the results of her first mission; seizing relations with Lady Cai. If she could prove herself, rewards would be reaped.

Trust, a single word that can mean so much and when broken devastate a possibility of more than one person. Did this man truly see a woman of the making of Lady Cai before him? The Lady Huang could not deny that she was disheartened by such a thought, but it was necessary in the times they had found themselves in; honesty was being mistreated and trust was being misplaced. No wonder the Lord Liu could not foresee that the words of this woman would be nothing but empty air. "Indeed that would be the best course of action, all factions are currently securing their position after their small expansion; what best time to immitate this while we can." Lord Liu wished to seek the allegiance of the Cai through her? Of course, no one else would be able to gain the confidant ear of the Lady Cai so easily; especially when seeing the Green Banner of Liu Bei.
Lady Huang blushed at the words of a possible banquet in her honour, she had done nothing of true merit in the Kingdom of Shu and yet such blessings were been given...the eyes were attracted, the young woman could feel happy in knowing her future was placed with this man. The source was unknown, but it seemed his kind heart was something she admired and it made her believed that laying her own life in the balance for him, would be right. "I must thank you for such blessings my Lord, however, do not waste such luxuries upon my being; I have yet to bring success with me. May I request such a banquet be postponed until I return from Xiangyang?" The Lady Huang had just recently arrived in Xinye and now she was being ordered back to the home she thought she had left for good. However, not as a native, but envoy and mediator between the clans of Liu and Cai. Lady Huang could not smile, feeling the warmth of seeing her Aunt again as the meeting between the two women could not occur after she had the desires of leaving for Xinye.. Not only this, but the young woman could also enquire about the health of her Uncle and perhaps finally have a conversation with him; without her father being present.. To form memories before the winds took the already dwindling star..
"My Lord, stabilising your territory is of great importance, thus I shall take my leave and make preparations to venture back to Xiangyang... But before I go.." The young woman's eyes glanced to Liu Bei in a curious nature, the trust was still an issue to her and not fully knowing that he would think otherwise of her...it would irritate her. Slowly the Lady Huang approached the Imperial Uncle, closing the proximity between them and leaving only a small gap between them. "When placed with my word, I do not break the bond; I plead you not think twice.." Her voice was a whisper, hoping that the gentle tones would speak to his head and delicately the veil was untied from one side of her face. Opening it for only Liu Bei to view was the visage many speculated about, a vision that would be quite surprising when pondering the rumours.. The Lady Huang was indeed a beauty of this realm, one whose complexion was perhaps darker than that of other girls but this merely formed a natural elegance. Lips soft as the petals of peach blossoms and a quaint nose that seemed well crafted for her face. Closing the veil, the proximity was widened and words finally returned to it's previous elegance. "Rumours are spread for a number of reasons, yet it seems they still remain after I planted the seed when I was a little girl; to be taken seriously for talent father than assets is my desire..."
Stepping back, the Lady Huang kept the glance onto the Imperial Uncle observing not only his reaction but also is disposition, would he believe that such a young girl could fathom a plan to be taken seriously at that age?.. Though the young woman had gained an education most rare to the female gender.. "Before I depart, my Lord. I shall place this query for you to think on." Taking a time to breath, the young woman wondered whether it would be of taste to hear for the Lord Liu.. "One must worry for your defend vanguard, the health is deteriorating and the heir unsecure; one or the other it could not be certain that the protection will remain." Of course, the words were hiding the fact of the heir apparent to the forces of Liu Biao. Whether Qi or Cong were chosen was still within the clouds, while the tongue of the Cai were thrusting for the youngest son it would only be correct to follow tradition.. "A Step-mother can take the role of Matriarch, but the child will never have it's truth replaced; the favour of such women cannot be held forever." Another direction to the Lady Cai, whose future would be put in the balance when Liu Biao met his end; after all, she had no true heir to become Matriarch.. Qi and Cong were not her children, merely adopted when the first wife died and the Lady Huang's aunt replaced her.. "Continue to observe the outcome, for the Greenlands shall become open to you." The Lady Huang knew well of both children hoping to be successor, but neither of which could truly rule successfully in their own right; the Cai clan would always be behind the curtain. Therefore, she could foresee that the Imperial Uncle would inherit the lands Liu Biao now had in his jurisdiction..it was inevitable and could happen sooner or later...

Zhao Yun Tiger General of Liu Bei
You make me dizzy running circles in my head One of these days I'll chase you down Well look who's going crazy now We're face to face my friend Better get out Better get out You know you make me break out A Timely Return
Moments previous, Xin Ye centre
His head turned from direction to direction, looking at the passers by, all them, they seemed so obsessed with him, like they hadn’t seen him in so long. Of course they hadn’t that was the part Zilong had to get used to and fast if he was to make it to his home without being mobbed by a horde of citizens.
There was little to no hope of him getting to his house though, slowly small piece of information started to return to his head and he looked down, confused at the sight of blood staining his armour and cape. Overwelmed he stopped in the middle of the street, already a healthly group of people waiting patiently behind him for the chance to meet the famous Zhao Yun, well and alive.
His head swam with returning thoughts, memories, even to the point where he realised what he had done before that unholy meeting below the city’s floor. “Zhao Yun!” He couldn’t shake them off even if he tried, there was too much going on “Master-!” Words, thoughts, memories, events, people, all clouding his tender head. “Zilong!”
**--THUD--**
“Someone run to Lord Liu Bei’s office!”
...Darkness...
Xin Ye Government Office Things had gone badly with the diplomacy in Cheng Du; Liu Zhang offended and uncooporative demanded Liu Xuande returned to his own city, for the time being at least. It had been a case of going from bad to worse, out of the frying pan into the fire if you will, as Liu Bei would be the first to admit since Yong An’s gain, his position looked more and more dangerous, especially with the looming advance of Cao Cao. His most trusted General had too gone missing, the valiant and ever resourceful Zhao Yun. Over a month of seeking and searching had come up with no clues and many feared his life was tragically cut short or worse as many would suggest; he left service for another lord. The dead weight of the armour-clad warrior was hauled up the steps of the office building, as more and more members of the guard aided their fellow soldier inside. Loud were the noises through the halls as the Little Dragon as he was titled was carried down the hall and into one of the private chambers to be treated. Time seemed to pass by quickly, Zilong would swear later on he could hear every word being uttered and every touch to his body. He knew his armour had been cautiously removed and his body checked for wounds and going by a rather pungent smell at one point he knew exactly the palace attendant who came to check up on the report. “No sign of flesh wound in recent days, however his body seems starved for some time, it’s no wonder he passed out like did, in fact it’s a miracle he even made it so far.” Muttered a doctor just as Zhao Yun fluttered his eyes open and gave a groan of pain. “General Yun, a great sigh of relief to see you again.”“Ugh... I feel so ill...-” Zilong remarked as he tried to raise up from his lying position on the bed. “Your body has been through a lot. You need rest, followed by gradual increases in your food. I will also suggest our lord does not disturb you for the remainder of the day.”With his head all over the place it was no wonder Zhao Yun did not protest his need for rest for a change. Quite remarkably for him he gave into doctor’s orders and rested his head back on the bed, eyes moving to an immediate close and finally slumber taking ahold of him. Everything found and seen would be reported to Lord Xuande, from the blood stains on his cape and his obvious near-starvation and then to his recently shaven beard that would come as a possible contradiction to proposed abuse. One thing though was for sure, there was no doubt Liu Bei would need him back to full fitness, he was a vital part of the growing force in northern Jing and one of the fore-thinkers on how to deal with Cao Cao in the future. Tags: Liu Bei, Open to other “shu” members Colours: Zhao Yun-be7e00 Lyrics: Breakout by Foo Fighters Notes: Long because it’s two posts in one, the first half is part of my last post in my task where this leads on from, whilst the second half is basically what I wrote just now. Enter how you want, wake him up, wait for him to wake up, post being in there at various times through the night checking up on him etc etc, who knows, surprise me xD[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Ma Yunlu had secluded herself from the outside world that day. Staying in isolated places around Xin Ye and refusing to come into contact with even her brother.
It had been a day where she wanted to be left alone with her thoughts, muse about the many misunderstandings around the world and about how humanity always seemed to want to complicate even the simplest of matters.
Shaking her head, she felt like it may be time to speak to the man she had only recently pledged her allegiance to. Perhaps, the mans wisdom would not only soothe her soul, but give her insight in her own mind.
Of course, she did not want to disturb the man, and so she made her was to the government office. If he was there and not busy, she would speak, but if he was either gone or very busy she would return another day.
Walking up to the guards, she allowed herself to give him a warm smile.
"I wish to know if Lord Liu Bei will allow me the honor of his audience."
The guard did not seem to want to be the bearer of bad news.
"I am sorry Lady Ma Yunlu, but our lord is not to be disturbed. However, there have been recent reports that General Yun has returned."
Ma Yunlu had only seen Zhao Yun in battle, after that he had disappeared and she never got the opportunity to meet such a revered general.
"The healers can do so much, but your assistance in watching over him would be much appreciated."
The guard bowed his head, obviously she wanted nothing more than to return to her silent musings and to have mental debates with herself, perhaps even train on her own, but how could she not help a fellow officer? Nodding her head in understand, the guard asked her to follow, calling another guard to take his place temporarily.
Following him, she kept her eyes on the ground, this would not be the first time she would have to keep her eye on an injured person. Perhaps it was what she was meant for... just to help.
When they had finally arrived, the healer came rushing at her, lips pursed and finger on lips. Obviously she was asked to be silent and with a nod, she stepped outside with the healer.
"Thank you for coming, he is in stable condition, but I cannot stay for long. I will not be too far away so if you see there is something wrong, please alert one of my assistants and they can take it from there."
Ma Yunlu seemed to be bombarded with so much she couldn't help but nod her head. The healer was talking in a fast hushed whisper and it took her full concentration to catch it all. As the healer scurried off, the assistants went to the room beside Zhao Yun's room there had been a few soldiers who had recently fallen ill and the assistants went to deal with them.
It was quiet, the man laid on his back deep in sleep. It was easier to watch a sleeping person, with legs tucked beneath her, she bowed her head allowing her mind once again to muse the very different ideas, and with her recent talk to Yueying, there was so much more to think about.
At one point though, she eventually surveyed the man that was considered the best within her Lord Lie Bei's army. Ma Yunlu wondered what had happened to make him fall so sick. She had heard the rumors, some saying he may have died, other believing that Zhao Yun turned his back on his lord, but Ma Yunlu could not believe any of it for she did not personally know this general.
Ma Yunlu traced his features with her eyes, he did not seem to be hurt by a blade at recent times, yet his skin seemed pale. It somehow reminded her of Lu Wei and she wondered if perhaps Zhao Yun too was malnutritioned. It was odd how she found herself in this situation once again, only she didn't do any saving. ---- Note: Hope you don't mind, wasn't sure if you were waiting for Liu Bei to post or if you wanted a Shu member to post first (After all the essays and midterms I wrote... I have SO much muse )

[Just wanted to say that I have discussed ideas with Zhao Yun before hand, and he helped me with this idea. ^-^ Also I hope this isn't confusing for others.]
------
Two months ago...
After the giant fire that buried a whole village in it's own debris along with faint remains of ancestors left behind in the smoke, or slaughtered by the sword while becoming left without any means of burial only a few survived. Mei Li was one of them.
Because of this event taking place the young girl was forced to go out in the world on her own with nothing to her name besides unspoken promises of revenge, and deliverance while seeking out a lost brother.
From village to village she would seek guidance, and knowledge to prepare her for the task at hand. Even though her past has hardened and sealed her heart it did not have the same effect on her beauty. Like a flower she blossomed regardless of the harsh circumstances she was put through in her travels.
While loosing some proper etiquette due to the nature of growing up alongside a brother could almost make her looks to be deceiving, however she still recalls a thing or two about being properly ladylike. Having even bee claimed before to be "A flourishing woman that strikes like a cobra at the first sight of spilled blood."
During her travels the talk of wild rumors, and stories about a famous general in Lui Bei's forces caught her attention, intrigued she persisted to find the man known as Zhao Yun, hoping to be allowed his teachings to improve her warfare. Soon the stories proved to be true, and led her to him.
Finding this man to be walking ego incarnate she dealt with it as best she could resorting to holding her tongue countless times. They met a mutual agreement becoming Master, and Apprentice.
One month ago...
Like everyday since Zhao Yun took Mei Li under his wing she would meet him at the same place, at the same time each time, however when one day she arrived ready for anything he was not there. She waited until nightfall before leaving. Days turned into weeks, but he never showed up.
Present day...
Giving up on the Master who never returned Mei Li ventured to Xin Ye where her old hometown used to reside nearby. Hearing about bandits in the area was what drove her to Xin Ye in hopes of finding possible suspects for her past.
Never imagining she would cross the paths of Zhao Yun again she was shocked when a horde of people were crowding around him. Earlier she had spotted this mob, curiosity drove her to investigate further.
"Zhao Yun..?" Words escaped her mouth while her eyes remained locked on the figure in question.
Spotting the blood that covered him just as the officials did she rushed for wards, but only to be halted by the crowd while Zhao Yun was quickly hauled away from her sights.
The part of Mei Li that still acknowledged him as a Master, and a friend wouldn't allow her to leave before knowing he would be safe, and ok.
It took awhile for the crowd to disperse, but when they did she followed after him more than once falling behind more newly formed crowds, finally reaching her destination only to be stopped by guards.
"State your business."
Knowing that if she spoke the wrong words she could possibly be banned from The Palace she chose wisely already spinning up lies in her head.
"My cousin has been taken here after being wounded. We were separated in the crowd."
The guard who had addressed her regarded her with a thin air of suspicion. Mei Li quickly brought up a few tears.
"Please! I must go to him!"
Deciding she was speaking the truth they granted her passage.
On another occasion she would of let her eyes wander to these rare sights surrounding her, but not tonight. Swiftly escorted to Zhao Yun's room she found him lying down appearing to be deep in slumber.
Waking him did not seem the best of ideas so instead she pulled a chair in the corner of the room away from The Healers constant flocking around the room. There she waited, her arms crossed over her chest while her eyes flickered for any sign of movement.
When more company entered the room she stiffened not prepared with what to do if this were to happen. Saying nothing instead remembering her spot to be less noticeable since it was out of the way she hopped, for now, not to be spotted.

[ "No religion, what I follow is my feet." ”No psalms. As far as holy water goes; I would be the bath. Liu Bei had been studying his current situation with several of the smartest men within ranks before the calamity occured, Zhao Yun had been missing for several days now - however Liu Xuande was fond of the man and several search parties by now had been initiated.
"Liu Zhang will sit tight, though he is a firm and grand lord.. he lacks motivation. Though he talks the talk, Mi'lord. He doesn't walk the walk."
Liu Bei nodded, hoping the mans advice held truth within in, before a young servant blasted through the doors and collapsed to his feet; weeping and clasping him hands towards Liu Bei. Liu Bei gripped his robes before standing up and questions the man for this outbreak of rudeness and interuption.
"My lord! It's Zhao Zilong, he's ill! Come quickly!"
Liu Bei dismissed the meeting immediately before following the servant like the very devil was within his feet. Passing through several chambers they eventually came to the room where Zhao Yun had been placed, in which Liu Bei found the room rather crowded. Being a small man, he pushed through gently before his eeyrie golden face appeared amongst the bodies.
"Zhao Zilong!"
Liu Bei cried in happiness falling to his knees, it was no lie that Liu Bei valued Zhao Yun; the man had been with him ever since the descent from the North and since then they had bonded. Both as lord and vassal and friend and companion. Liu Bei wept, clasping his hands towards the man who showed little life within himself. So many questions ran through his head - but all he could do was show his appreciation for his return.
"My liege, I have provided him with several different antidotes which should return him to fighting fitness in no time; but for now he needs his rest.. I would ask that you would sanction off his chambers until morning."
A young medical man announced, Liu Bei sighed. Understanding the seriousness of Zhao Yun's wounds. The poor man was exhausted and they could speak as much as they wanted once he had been returned to his glorious and undefeatable state. Liu Bei nodded; and agreed to the dismissal of many of the spectators, leaving only a few people to watch over Zilong. It was surprising how so many people rushed to the sides of a loyal man. Officers, medics, countrymen and more. At least a household or more people were removed from the room before Liu Bei opened the sliding doors of the chamber, allowing the fresh air of the Spring day enter the room.
"Zhao Yun, to find a braver man would be impossible. To find a more talented man in close combat would be herecy.. but to find a more careless man would be much the same as the tasks before it. I beg you only take more value in your life."
It hadn't been the first time Zhao Yun would willingly throw down his life or at least put his own neck second to his objective. To allow such a general to fall would be terrible.. Zhao Yun carried the army offensively. He was young, aspirational, full of hope, dreams, morale and loyalty. Alongside the other deadliest generals such as Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Ma Chao he was like the cyanide to Cao Cao's soup.

Zhao Yun Tiger General of Liu Bei
You make me dizzy running circles in my head One of these days I'll chase you down Well look who's going crazy now We're face to face my friend Better get out Better get out You know you make me break out Awakening
There were few men in the world that could take such punishment and still pull through in the way that Zilong would. Even as he lay motionless with eyes closed, he still possessed that aura that so many knew him for. Even still he had the ability to claim the attention of others, though ultimately unconscious. He was that sort of officer, charasmatic, powerful and influential.
As a deeper sleep took over his body, he grew unaware of who might be present, instead allowing the healing slumber to wash over him. The sleep was needed, far more needed than he would ever like to admit and it would last several hours, in which time it was expected those inside the room would depart for a short time and return, or stay and watch over the man with real loyalty.
Maybe the Lord of Xin Ye had been there all along, maybe he had only just gotten the report, or more likely he’d returned hours after the initial event to check up on his prized general, either way with the last words spoken by Liu Bei, the face of Zilong changed to a grin, soon followed up by a painful stretch of his limbs.
“Where would the fun be in that, mi’lord?” Always the jokester. “I apologise for being late though sir, I beg for your forgiveness.” The final half stinging with a serious tone.
His eyes opened slowly, surveying the room, noticing Ma Yunlu and had he not been the wiley man he was, he wouldn’t have spotted the other figure in the corner of the room, Mei Li; lingering his eyes there for only a second, so as not to arouse suspicion from the others, realising the girl probably wanted to stay there privately to begin with.
The Little Dragon’s eyes turned to Ma Yunlu next, giving her a genuine smile. “Lady Lunlu, an honour it is to meet you again, though I had hoped under more fortunate circumstances. I trust your brother is well?” His and Ma Chao’s relationship having been rocky to start with, now though he was warming up to Liu Bei’s youngest warrior.
He’d yet again steal the show, stopping anyone from speaking too soon after his last words. He raised his arm, weaker than normal, but still able and pointed into the corner of the room. “...and my Lord, Lady Yunlu, I’d also like you to meet my apprentice; Mei Li” His words may have caused confusion at first, though if they did indeed look into the blindside of the room, there they’d witness sight of the girl. “Let her appearance not deceive you my lord, her blade is as deadly as her looks.”
The three visitors all meant something to Zhao Yun, whether it was the only person he could now ever call his master in Lord Liu Bei, the one he so valiantly fought alongside at Yong An in Ma Yunlu, or his personal apprentice he had not seen in over a month in Mei Li, they all had a place in that confused heart of his. All he waited for now were the dreaded questions on where he had been, an answer for which he was quickly trying to figure out in his head.

Expect the quality and/or length to not be what it normally is, but extra bonus if it is to it’s usual standard =]

Ma Yunlu's eyes turned towards a corner, she saw a beautiful woman sitting hidden from her the first time she arrived. At first, Ma Yunlu thought she was amongst the healers, but her eyes told a different story and Ma Yunlu knew in that moment that perhaps this was a friend of Zhao Yun's, perhaps even a lover.
Feeling like she was intruding, and knowing that Zhao Yun wouldn't need three people to watch over him, she tipped her head to the woman with a smile and was about to excuse herself and leave. At first, she could hear the chatter outside die down, people dispersing and there were people she could hear saying 'Mi'lord'. She knew istantly who it was and she oriented her body towards the sliding door. As her Lord Liu Bei walked in, she bowed her head low to the man. Ma Yunlu had such great respect for him, and as her lord expressed his worry, her respect only grew.
Feeling like she did not need to speak, she only listened to the words of this strong warrior. The fact that he made light of his situation made her lips turn into a slight smile, but there was still worry on her face. He may no have been her brother, but Ma Yunlu had one of the most caring hearts and to have someone whom she fought with get hurt; she would be amongst the first to make sure they would be alright.
"My brother is doing fine general, I thank you for your concern, but mi'lord Liu bei is correct; it is you who the concern should be on."
Despite her words, she mustered the softest smile, only a great man would ask about the well beings of other despite their own misfortune. Ma Yunlu knew about the somewhat rivalry between her brother and Zhao Yun, but for him to ask about her brother made her respect this man even more.
Ma Yunlu moved back just a bit, so that her lord Liu Bei could come closer if he wished. She did not want to get in the way nor be a burden and so as Zhao Yun introduced the woman who seemed to be around her age, Ma Yunlu tipped her head in respect and said a quick greeting.
With her head slightly bowed, she kept a close eye on Zhao Yun and was cautious with listening to his words. She was keeping track of his breathing pattern and his body language. She may have not been a healer, but when she fought by her father she had learned enough about the human body to pick up on signals on how a persons condition was. It was the only reason she decided she would stay, Ma Yunlu was not sure on the other two's knowledge on healing was, and the Healers had put her in charge of alerting them if something happened.
Finally deciding she would stay, she kept silent off to the side of Zhao Yun's bed watching, surveying and making note of his condition. Ma Yunlu could hear the Healers just outside, the seemed to be making sure that there weren't too many people inside and after hushed whispers they too had left to tend to others.
The room was almost silent, the aura somewhat peaceful yet she could sense the worry radiating off everyone in the room, she too felt worried and she continued on what she was doing before. Feeling like his health was not going to suddenly deteriorate she stopped and turned to look at her lord, giving the man a a reassuring smile.

[ "No religion, what I follow is my feet." ”No psalms. As far as holy water goes; I would be the bath. Liu Bei laughed at Zhao Yun's jesting before turning to notice the two women in the room, Ma Yunlu; the sister of the Beast of Xiliang - a terrific and fearsome battle maiden. If rumours correctly she was just as ferocious as her brother, down to the very tip of her spear. The other lady was an aquiantance of Zilong, Mei Li also a fighter. Liu Bei nodded, clasping his hands and respecting his retainers choice in friends.
"Apology accepted!"
Liu Bei laughed, his knees now curled up beside the healing man on the floor, Liu Bei sitting beside him. Zhao Yun was childish to some extent, his ego, his strong determined will kept him going.. though he seemed to break through his childish regime. If at first he failed, and failed again - rather than a child who would give up or blast profane words like a verbal machine gun.. Zhao Yun kept at it. He wouldn't return until his mission had been completed, even if that meant he was the last man standing.
"Come, please sit beside me."
Liu Bei issued a request to both of the women to sit beside him, as equals. Not as ruler and follower. His smile had an alurring sense of compassion, care and integrity.
"It hasn't been the first time I've watched you injure your wings upon the battlefield, Master Zhao Yun.. nor will it be the last."
Liu Bei laughed, kindly reminding himself of the terrible decent from the lands of Gongsun Zan. The trials of Yuan Shao constantly attacking them, and then into Tao Qian's lands, in which Cao Cao and Lu Bu eventually drove Liu Bei from them and into refuge with Liu Biao's lands. Zhao Yun never questioned the capability of Liu Bei, nor his decisions.
"I have known you for a decade now, and still we own no land more than a few farms of Xinye, I cannot feel anything but pure shame for your kind service. Though we serve Liu Biao; I promise you that someday, your hard-working will be re-paid. Zhao Zilong!"
Liu Bei smiled, holding in his emotion. His brow tilted a little, along with his thunderous and warm heart. The cold shield that had been holding in the terrors rapidly melted and a stream of tears rolled down his face. Crying in front of Zhao Yun and the two other women gloriously.

Questions played in Mei Li's head over, and over again she tried to give herself answers, but could never come up with a reasonable decision.
What had Zhao Yun done to cause such a wound? Why was he here in Xin Ye? Was this woman an actual relative unlike she? Was she a Healer? She certainly didn't look like one. Mei Li could see a fierceness about her, and how she carried herself.
Already caluclating possible possibilities she watched Zhao Yun's chest rise, and fall with steady breaths noting that the Healer had done their job, and done it well. As observant as she was, she was taken aback when Liu Bei himself made his way into the room.
Having only heard about him in stories because of her constant travels she had never witnessed him before much like the first time she looked upon Zhao Yun. She only realized his status when all of the Healers present showed proper respect for a Lord. Mei Li tensed up suddenly aware of whose presence she was in, new to being in the same room with Xin Ye's Lord she remained still giving the two great men there moment.
Until Zhao Yun moved did she react her fingers twitching slightly while her eyes focused on him. Because of surveying him closely she caught his gaze flickering on her before returning to his audience. Still she remained unchanged.
Immediatly she stood up when her name was spoken taking a small step forward, automatically she respectively put her fist over her heart, and bowed something she was accustomed to doing correctly to both Liu Bei, and Lady Yunlu. She returned greetings as well.
Light red appeared on her cheeks at Zhao Yun's compliment even though if it were any other situation that did not involve others such as Liu Bei or Lady Yunlu she would have listened and not dwell on his words aloud, but since she was in the royal palace, and in the presence of certain individuals it made her fool shy , aslo surprisingly proud.
Regardless she remained still finding it more appropriate to give them space instead of intriuging.
Until Liu Bei asked both Mei Li, and Lady Yunlu to join him, that made her uncertain, but knowing she wouldn't refuse the offer she slowly approached setting herself on the right side of him once more returning her attention to Zhao Yun putting out of mind that the one she sat by was in fact Lord Liu Bei, instead like he said before picturing him as her equal.
She did give Zhao Yun a look though one that spoke louder through eyes than voice. Where did you go?
She was in awe when Liu Bei wept, and even though she saw him do this earlier it wasn't the same up close. It was the most happiest of tears she had witnessed before one that even cracked a smile upon her lips.
Her voice returned to her, and she addressed Zhao Yun, "My Master it's good to finally see you again."
She had a lot of questions that for now she would hold back, wait.

He Xing walked up the steps of the small office of Xin ye. H ehad never exactly been inside, and he never thought he would feel such a drive to force him to enter. He wasn't a brilliant man, full of wisdom and knowledge. Though he knew there was one thing he had, strength, and this strength he would be willing to sacrifice for Liu Bei. As he watched the green flag wave above him, he walked up the steps with determination on his face, and a willingness to serve his new lord. As he walked up to the door, he saw the guards standing watch. Wearing his simple armor that was his fathers. It clunked a little bit as he walked towards the entrance. As he walked he thought about the words he would use to confront Liu Bei. Unsure of what he would say, he only had hopes that he would be welcomed into his ranks. He had little knowledge of formal matters, and little knowledge of what to say and do, though he would do his best. As he reached the door, and confronted the guards he smiled and said.
I request to meet with Liu Bei, I wish to serve him.... If he will have me.

Amen hallelujah Tinie look what's happened to ya Yeh they love that attitude brand new and improved, yeh
And when the fans start grabbing you, Show gratitude with a little brag or two, Amen hallelujah Tinie look what's happened to ya, Who can say they ran look at all the obstacles I ran look I traded friends for fans, cement for sand, raise your hand, the wonder man
Skulking through the interior of the makeshift palace one particular minister of Liu Bei’s forces found his somewhat boring day at least perk up slightly. The sound of a visitor distrupted his eardrums, his curious legs already heading in the direction of the main door, the location he had no doubt would be the location of the person in question.
His first thoughts were not misguided and he took a few moments to look over the man, the person who going by the words wanted nothing more than to be an honourable member of Liu Xuande’s forces. A smile and a bow for a greeting, the minister presented his self, appearing behind the guards.
“Our Lord is away on business of the highest importance, I am afraid therefore I cannot bring you to meet with him, however I can accept you into our military on a temporary basis, at least until Liu Bei returns.” Realising it may not be the perfect acceptance into the armed forces, the minister tried one last attempt to improve his morale. “Once our Lord returns I will personally introduce you to him.”
