A simple yet busy walk
Once the land was in peace. Since the rise of the Yellow Turbans, chaos now enveloped the land. Regional Lords have greater ambition, some seeking domination, some seeking power and some seeking justice. It was Lord Liu Bei’s will to bring about peace, the people cry out for a Hero to save them. That Hero was not Cao Cao, who would dare attack the innocent Tao Qian of Xuzhou. It was his personal vendetta that gave Lu Bu the opportunity to enter the chaotic land once again, and now chaos still continues. Even though, Liu Bei was forced out of Xia Pi, they were happy to be away from the central plains and so were the people of Xin Ye having them with them....

Guan Yu strolled along the streets of Xin Ye, taking note of the people’s faces. They loved and adored brother Liu Bei, who has been treating them well. It was upto Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to ensure Xin Ye was protected and to ensure any threats are repelled.
As well as protecting the city, it was also upto Guan Yu to make improvements, which is why he was assessing what they had before meeting with the farmers.
While walking, he noticed an old crippled man who had dropped his walking stick, Yunchang rushed directly towards him and picked it up for him. The old man smiled, “Thank you Lord Guan Yu”, before continuing to his destination. Yunchang smiled, then suddenly he heard some screams behind him. He turned around and noticed smoke coming from somebody’s lodgings.
“Help! Someone please help! My baby is up there!”, a woman cried at the top of her voice.
Guan Yu glanced upstairs and noticed a young child crying out the window. He rushed inside. The heat continued to flare, the sweat of Guan Yu’s eyebrow began to reveal itself, falling very slowly from the brow onto a flame on the floor. He noticed the source of the fire in the kitchen area, but he couldn’t stop it now. His huge arm, covered his mouth as he charged upstairs, but due to the flames downstairs, the stairs began to collapse, which meant he was now stuck upstairs. He looked up and could see the smoke infront of him, and behind him saw the approaching flames reaching out to grab him. He pushed open the door and noticed the child hiding in a corner. He moved towards the window, peered out, made sure there was nobody there, then with arm, he smashed the glass out. The smoke was now getting worse, the flames continued to grow. Like vines, they came up from the floor, trying to tangle his and the child’s legs from escaping. Yunchang had now begun to start coughing, but continued to keep his head lifted and strong, as he picked up the child in his arms and climbed through the broken window. He used some of his robe to tie the child too him, not too tight, then with one hand, he held the child, and the other he held onto the window as he dropped himself down, leaving him and the child hanging from the window. He heard the screams from the people telling him to hurry. He let go off the window, spread out his legs a bit for his landing, then took out the hand that was holding the window, infront of him.
The woman raced up to him with tears flooding in her eyes, “Thank you Lord Guan Yu!”, as she gave him a huge tug, guiding him away from the house. When they were in the clear, Guan Yu bowed a little to show his thanks then gave her, her child, before continuing on his patrol, and at regular intervals, inhaling and exhaling the fresh air through his nose and mouth.
A little furthur down the road, he noticed a group of children yelling at the tree. It seemed quite odd, but then as Yunchang drew nearer, he noticed a small fury cat clinging into a branch.
The children all rushed over, then one child spoke up, "Lord Guan Yu, I was only playing with Fuzzball, and then he ran off when I went to get his food. He won't come down now. I really want to play with him"
"Do you have something he enjoys to play with?"" he asked. He could easily knock the tree but didn't want to frighten the cat, so he would leave that as a final option.
"Hmmmm, he likes a ball of wool. I'll go get it!", as the child rushed back home.......When he arrived, he passed it to Guan Yu who threw one string of it and tied it to the tree, "Prepare to catch him", he warned, before throwing the ball up into the air, which caused the cat to jump off and clung to the ball. The child rushed and caught him. All the children smiled, "Thank you!" before rushing away.
It was always nice to see smiles on people's faces....
