Li Wang's contingent, attached to that of Sun Ce's
Total contingent strength: 1100 (500 swords, 600 peasants) Wi Lang smiled as he heard the other half of his unit march forward to join him, though that dropped quickly when they stopped behind the swordsmen. Barely suppressing an oath, Wi Lang issued orders to his captains in order to create the formation he needed here. A few minutes later, he had his men arrayed in a single straight line, stretching out beyond the edges of Lu Fei's archers. He had placed his forces so that the swordsmen formed the center of the line, with the peasants in two groups forming the outer sections. Once this was done, Li Wang gave the order to march. He would go JUST far enough to put Yan Baihu's army in firing range of Lu Fei, who should be marching just behind him. In the event the enemy were to return fire, the swordsmen would use their shields to cover themselves and the archers while the peasants would just pray they were not hit.
Summary: Wi Lang's ranks are bolstered, he fixes his formation, and he begins to march.

Strengh: 1000 archers
Lu Fei decided it was time to act, He started to till his men to march forward. after they marched just in range to hit the enemy he turned to his men and shouted, " Men get into a straight line from left to right, as soon as his men did that he raised his sword up into the air.
On my mark men shot your arrows towards the enemy, He waited for a moment for his men to fix their arrows. after 30 seconds he moved his sword down for the signal.
His men launched their arrows high and far as the arrows traveled towards the enemy.
Summary: the archers form a straight line from side to side, like this - , and they fired at the enemy

Shi Yiguan entered Sun Ce's camp on a magnificent white steed - which seemed far too much for the mischievous politician. Two actual soldiers rode at his side, bearing the flags of the Cheng Empire. Sun Ce's camp seemed to already be abandoned, with a large hosts of troops going up mountains to one side, and another large line of men proceeding down the main road. The enigmatic Shi Yiguan flew down from his horse very theatrically and cried in his loudest voice: "Bofu! How dare you start this battle without me!" His two escorts shared confused looks. One dismounted and handed Shi Yiguan a map of the area; which Shi Yiguan devoured with his eyes. The guard continued to speak: "Lord Sun Ce is most likely already marching down the main road..." Shi Yiguan shot the escort a menacing look and snapped at him, "Don't you think I know that!?" He threw the map to the ground, crossed his arms and said more calmly, "It looks like the force marching up the mountains will provide cover for Sun Ce's main force on the road. A sound strategy..." Shi Yiguan contemplated whilst rubbing his chin. His contemplation lasted a very long minute when the same escort interrupted, "Shall I ride ahead and inform Lord Sun Ce of Commander Ji Ling's position...?" Shi Yiguan sighed and remounted, "No, I suppose we all shall go, there is no one left here anyway." The escort mounted his horse whilst tentatively adding: "He could be in the midst of a battlefield..." "I always did want to see a man-eating Tiger." Shi Yiguan curtly added as his horse took off heading for the line of troops on the main road. Shi Yiguan: (Riding towards Sun Ce's main unit.) 2 Calvary Escorts

Wang Lang and Yu Fan Wang Lang was enjoying himself, eating another bowl of rice whilst most of soldiers did the same. Yu Fan was in a more stressed mood. Wang Land raised an eyebrow whilst his commander rubbed his temples, "If we don't get reinforcements..." "Calm down Yu Fan... I asked in my last letter for Taishi Ci to cross the Yangtze." He smiled, "I know Liu Yong won't abandon us." His voice of wisdom only alleviated Yu Fan's distress a little. Finally Yu Fan took a deep breath, "I'm sure your reliance on Liu Yong is well placed my lord..." He retreated from the planning table, atop the mountain camp, everyone was busy attending to their duties, thus the small ship from the Mengchong fleet peeling off was only just overlooked. It was only a matter of time before a letter was conveniently at Yu Fan's feet. At first, he didn't notice, as he was coordinating an initial crossbow volley on advancing Cheng soldiers. "Fire!" The entire crossbowmen contingent on the mountain let their bolts fly straight into the Cheng formation. Then, a soldier was keen to point out: "General, there's a piece of parchment at your feet, it looks like a letter." He gestured to it, stuck under Yu Fan's foot. "I suppose there is," as soon as he lifted his foot a small perpetual breeze blew the letter off the side of the mountain; somewhere into Yan Baihu's bunch of savages. "Must not have been important." He shrugged, and ordered his men to reload their crossbows. Taishi Ci Taishi Ci reached the bridge at the front of his unit, his signature red shoulder cape fluttering quite heroically. And he signaled his unit to rest as Zhou Yu was intent on crossing the bridge first. Taishi Ci had always been quite skeptical about Zhou Yu's allegiance, he had, after all, fought with Sun Jian in the river campaigns. How could Liu Yong be sure that the devious strategist was not up to his schemes again? Zhou Yu then began to insult Liu Yong, to which Taishi Ci responded by scowling, "Do not test me Gongjin!" He said loudly as he confronted Zhou Yu on the bridge, the slim schemer whistled, and his unit was off. Taishi Ci 's stern gaze stayed on the schemer as his unit made it's way towards Yan Baihu. Something in the man's words made Taishi Ci hesitate, and finally, he decided to stay on the bridge. Yan Baihu Amongst the Shanyue savages, Yan Baihu was quite hard to spot, as he didn't prefer a horse, wore the same tattoos as his men. And even though his physique was that of a behemoth, he had only chosen the most able males within the Shanyue tribe to participate in the battle. In the din of the battle cries of the Shanyue, Yan Baihu yelled, "Fire!" as a Cheng volley downed scores of Shanyue peasants. The Shanyue returned fire from behind the numerous amounts of peasant fodder. Chen Wu, a bandit subordinate of Yan Baihu's, rode to the front of the peasant lines, and after yelling a battle cry in the Shanyue dialect, ordered an all-out charge. Thousands of Shanyue, equipped with only their bravery and bamboo spears, moved into an all out sprint towards Sun Ce's unit. Yan Baihu raised his hand, and ordered the more trained Shanyue, the ones equipped with swords and spears, to remain in their spot. Then, very suddenly, a letter fell into his outstretched hand. He looked up to inspect the piece of parchment, "That's peculiar." Summary:Yu Fan orders his crossbowmen (1,000) to fire onto Sun Ce's unit from the mountain. Their effectiveness is bolstered by the height. Shanyue archers (1,500) fire wildly in response to Lu Fei's volley. Chen Wu accompanies Shanyue peasants (5,000) in the charge towards Sun Ce's unit. The rest of the Shanyue wait at Yan Baihu's orders. Taishi Ci hesitates to cross the bridge because of Zhou Yu's wily words. Yan Baihu comes into the possession of Ulayne Umi's fake letter.

Sorry for the delay, I didn't even realize I was the battle moderator for this battle. Mikey never told me! I had to ask him after I had people IM'ing me about different things. Anyway...
ROUND TWO SUMMARY:
Huang Gai's unit reaches the peak of the southwestern mountain.
Sun Yuan Ci's force scouts ahead, crossing the bridge and riding double time to scan the northern mountain and reach the clearing at the northern base of the mountain. Note: Due to the rough terrain, and riding double time, your horses will be exausted by the time you reach the the northern base of the mountain. For round 3 they will only be capable of walking. They must rest this round to be fully refreshed for round 4.
Cheng Pu has arrived at the southeastern bend of the main road. He has sent scouts out ahead to sweep the forests.
Zhou Yu: Scouts move up the northern mountain ready to give a message to SYC and Huang Gai. The scouts can intercept SYC and Huang Gai either at the top of the mountain, on the way up the mountain or at the bottom before they start to ascend the mountain. If this is a problem for either person, PM me and we can work out the details. Zhou Yu himself has moved from the bridge towards Yan Baihu. He will reach him by the beginning of round 3.
Wulong Wang has joined up with Cheng Pu.
Li Wang and Lu Fei move forward into range of Yan Baihu's army. 600 peasants, 500 swordsmen and 1000 (10 hundred Ryan?) archers. The archers let loose a volley of arrows on Yan Baihu's troops.
Ulaynes navy is halfway to the bridge. Should she continue this pace, by the end of round 3 she will be 3/4 of the way to the bridge.
Shi Yiguan is riding towards Sun Ce's main unit with 2 cavalry escorts.
Yu Fan orders his crossbowmen (1,000) to fire onto Sun Ce's unit from the mountain. Their effectiveness is bolstered by the height.
Shanyue archers (1,500) fire wildly in response to Lu Fei's volley.
Chen Wu accompanies Shanyue peasants (5,000) in the charge towards Sun Ce's unit. They will hit Sun Ce's unit at the beginning of round 3.
Taishi Ci stays on the bridge.
Yan Baihu comes into the possession of Ulayne Umi's fake letter.
Zhuge Jin has not posted arriving, and may do so in round 3.
BATTLE LOSSES
Note: No city bonus numbers were given. It is not my job to read every Wu task thread. In this case it was Mikey's job to state this in the first post. If you notice that you should have a city bonus you need to PM Mikey, who will then let me know for the next round to give out these numbers.
Yu Fan loses no troops - he was not attacked.
Li Wang and Lu Fei - 0 swordsmen, 100 archers, 350 peasents. (Li Wang stated that the swordsmen would cover the archers and themselves with their shields, leaving the peasents to fend for themselves. Sun Ce states that there were archers behind the peasents, so not all archers were able to be shielded.)
Yan Baihu - 1,500 of the charging Shanyue peasants, and 450 Shanyue archers.
There, I think I've got everything covered. PM me if I missed someone.
Round 3 will commence now. You have until 5pm est Wednesday, February 16th to post. (I've given you more than the normal 24 hours so no whining!)

Li Wang hunkered down behind his swordsmen as the arrows rained down; he felt only a slight pain of regret as over half the peasants were slaughtered. He jumped to his feet right after the first couple of enemy volleys. Now! He bellowed. His swordsmen shifted so that they created a slight arc, the center pointed somewhere between Yan Baihu's archers and Yu Fan's cross bows. This should protect them more equally from both sides, while also providing more room for Lu Fei's archers to cluster in and gain increased protection. It was also the cue for his surviving peasants to rush forward and form a double line with their bamboo spears, skewering those unfortunate enough to run into them. The scouts intercepted Sun Yuan Ci halfway up the mountainside. They flew a white flag, and approached slowly, hands in the air. They handed over the message, wrapped with a crimson flag. Inside, it red thus;
Sun Yuan Ci,
The way of the bridge is blocked by a stalwart man known as Taishi Ci. He hates Liu Yong, but serves him faithfully. I have sown the seeds of doubt in this man, and he is near the breaking point.
I'll keep the Shanyue off of you if you takes care of that man. By force or by while, he is in the way of our lord Sun Ce's creation of an empire.
Happy Hunting, Zhou Yu
The scouts retreated quickly after handing over the message, not sticking around for an answer. Their goal was to return to Zhou Yu.
Yu himself arrived at Yan Baihu's position outside the supply camp. Zhou Yu position his army with his swords forward, defending his archers to the rear. Every man was at the ready, though Yu rode forward.[/i]
"Yan Baihu! Where are you? I've come to help you and your men, sent by Liu Yong. My name is Zhou Yu, and I am the Grand Strategist!"

Sun Ce watched as metal death rained down from above. His unit of lowly peasants was being decimated due to their lack of protection. However, their position at the front with Li Wang was crucial. Yan Baihu had ordered Chen Wu, the yellow-eyed demon, to attack and though it was unfortunate, the peasants were there to take the majority of damage.
The young leader could only hope that Cheng Pu had made some ground to the east. With volleys coming down upon Ce’s men, from the cliffs, they would not last long. Still, there was no going back.
“Wait for my command” he said, looking back to one of his cavalry captains.
Ce dismounted his steed and joined with his two reserve infantry units, one of spearmen and the other of peasants.
“Forward!”
He waved his sword and pointed it toward the charging enemies. It would be a hard fought battle as they were seriously outnumbered, but there was to be no retreat. If they fell on this day, at least they could die a warrior’s death.
The soldiers took a deep breath and grabbed their weapons tight before they ran forward. Sun Ce could see Lu Fei ahead, sending volleys into the enemy lines as he brought 500 spearmen and 400 peasants into the fray. Directly in front of Fei was Li Wang and his units.
The new warrior of Ce’s army was fighting brilliantly, but he was about to be hit by an oncoming wave of Shanyue soldiers. It was good then that Ce arrived when he did.
Wang’s peasant group would be bolstered by 400 more men and behind him and Fei there would be a line of 500 spears.
Ce moved to the front with Wang, dodging arrows as he did so. As soon as the soldiers around him knew of their lord’s presence they fought harder. The soldiers lifted their shields when Ce was threatened , exposing their own bodies, because they would gladly give their life for him if they must.
As soon as they were set, the army moved forward to meet Chen Wu.

Summary:
Sun Ce dismounts and moves to aid his officers in battle. With him are 500 Spears and 400 Peasants. The 1000 Cavalry are currently holding at the rear of the army.

After Lu Fei's archers performed their volley, He raised his sword again in the air to give his men the signals to reset their arrows. Men, on my mark we are going to do the same thing as before, He shouted, he no longer had his calm voice,he now had his, do as I say and yo want get kiled voice.
He held his sword for 10 more seconds and moved his arm down to give the signal to unleash hell. He watched as the arrows went flying towards the enemy.
Summary: Lu Fei and his men perform another volley into the enemy ranks

Yan Baihu & Wang Lang & Yu Fan As soon as Yan Baihu read the contents of Ulayne Umi's fake letter a devious plan was formulated in his head to kill two birds with one stone. Amongst the Shanyue, their leader mysteriously disappeared. And only a band of rowdy warriors remained on the road. Even when Zhou Yu asked the mobs of warriors for their beloved White Tiger, they looked amongst themselves and wondered where the Tiger had run off to. Inside the supply base, tensions grew more tense Wu forces began to appear from every side: the forest, the river, the massive amounts of dead Shanyue on the road. Yu Fan was making his way to Wang Lang's command tent when he turned a corner and ran into a snickering White Tiger Yan. For a second Yu Fan didn't react. Then, acting on instincts alone, he drew his sword. Yan Baihu smiled, then asked: "Old habits do die hard don't they?" Yu Fan didn't let his guard down for a second, "I think I'm safer this way; why're you here." Yu Fan was so shocked by his apperance, he only know realized that Yan Baihu was holding a small piece of parchment between his fingers. "Looks like you've run your course Yu Fan. Read." The smiling White Tiger outstretched his paw non-threateningly, allowing Yu Fan to snatch the letter from him. Yu Fan kept the sword level with Yan Baihu's chest until he read the contents of the letter. Then the sword fell harmlessly to the ground, lodging itself upright in the dirt. His letter trembled in his hands as he read it over again, and then a third time. Yan Baihu laughed as Yu Fan came to a startling realization; one he didn't want to face. "This isn't his writing!" Yu Fan yelled at Yan Baihu, "You wrote this!" Yan Baihu merely shook his head, and then, he even looked sympathetic as he believed that Wang Lang was actually trying to get rid of one of is most trusted officers. "I know what it means to be thrown away..." Yan Baihu started, he took a step towards Yu Fan, and grabbed the sword in the dirt by it's hilt. "This is how you deal with it." He shoved the hilt into Yu Fan's empty, shaking hands. "You want me to kill my lord...?" Yu Fan asked incredulously, yet Yan Baihu sensed he only needed a small push. The White Tiger softened his voice, and even laid a hand on Yu Fan's shoulder, "It's a harsh world; kill or be killed." Taishi Ci The stalwart Taishi Ci had been hesitant the entire time. He was dismounted, and awaited someone, anyone, a sign or something to nudge him into action. For now, he leaned against the wood railing, watching the approaching Mengchong fleet without a sense of danger. Detached from the world, Taishi Ci solemnly walked back to his unit's camp. Chen Wu Chen Wu's horse jumped over the ranks of bamboo spears, crashing into a group of enemy peasants just as his own ranks of Shanyue warriors crashed into the lines. His horse almost immediately died to a bamboo spear; but the horse was smart enough, and trampled it's way back to friendly lines. Chen Wu cried another warcry, and the Shanyue drove themselves deeper into Sun Ce's peasant line. With the Shanyue's numbers, Chen Wu felt the battle was already won. Summary:Yan Baihu appears at the supply camp, and shows Yu Fan Ulayne Umi's fake letter. Chen Wu leads the Shanyue charge into Sun Ce's peasants.

Sitting atop the tower of her flagship, Ulayne smiled as she felt the river's breeze. She was both confident in her strategy and her ships, and so she merely enjoyed the view as she drank tea from a teacup. Her guards watched over her; incredulous that she could be so calm in such a tense situation. Finally, a loud horn was sounded from the front ship of the wedge formation, and Ulayne knew that the enemy had been sighted. Within minutes, Taishi Ci's brilliant standard became a small visible speck in the distance, and Ulayne began to formulate a plan.
Her ships advanced until they were just outside the maximum bow range of Taishi Ci's ranged units. From Ulayne's high standpoint, she knew immediately that she had no chance to take Taishi Ci's forces head on. First, she ordered a change of formation into a line that allowed the maximum number of archers and crossbowmen to fire effectively (though still out of range), and ordered each lieutenant to ensure the strength of the protective structure which was the key component of her ships. The Mengchong fleet was designed to take arrow-fire, but Ulayne was too outmatched to enter combat yet.
Instead, Ulayne sent a small boat towards the shore, carrying a flag that clearly labeled them as envoys rather than combatants. These men carried no weapons, but instead they brough a letter which Ulayne had pinned herself. If Taishi Ci allowed the envoys to land and heard their plea, the letter read like this:
Summary:
Ulayne's forces advance but stay outside of Taishi Ci's range.
Ulayne sends a small group of unarmed officials and peasants in envoy garb to present Taishi Ci a letter.

Demou noted the melee erupting at the chasm between the two groups mountains. No doubt his lord was embroiled in combat already. It was time, the scouts sent out previously had not returned just yet, but it was too late to wait any longer. He would spur his cavalry onwards now, and intercepts his men as they rode through the forest. He doubted the enemy positioned troops there to begin with.
He called over the men to Wulong Wang, "Ready your men! We march now!"
He looked back to the unit captains, his cavalry was divided into riding throngs of a hundred men each. "Gentlemen, we move now! Cut down any that stand in our way! We ride eastward through the woods, keep the flags down and prevent them from spotting our advance. When we reach the woods, rejoin the scouting parties and keep moving! Our priority is the complete destruction of the enemy crossbow unit on the cliff! They won't see us coming if we move quickly enough!"
The troops began to ride as Cheng Pu kicked his horse forwards, he gripped the spear tightly and his reins as the horse galloped off towards the forest. They'd ride straight through and pop out on the other side, ready to crush Wang Lang.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Troops: 1000 Cavalry
Actions: Troops broken into 10 groups of 100 men. Flags lowered to prevent enemy from spotting them too easily! Charging towards forest! If scouts are within, they will rejoin the main force and deliver their report on the march! Wulong Wang has been ordered to form up and advance!

Post by Sun Yuan Ci on Feb 16, 2011 16:13:30 GMT
At the peak of the southern mountains, Huang Gai and his archers could see over the entire battlefield, and were able to scan the ranks of the enemy. It was a large force against them, but as he observed the position of his enemy and the position of Sun Ce and his officers on the eastern flank, he was comfortable that the Young Conqueror would reign the victor despite the odds. Liu Yong and his allies were no noble leaders, and their soldiers mere conscripts given swords and drilled by incompetent generals.
There was but one soldier in their ranks of worth, and he stood stoic at the bridge. Was his loyalty wavering in the presence of a tiger?
Huang Gai and his archers marched across the bridge to the northern mountains, where they could see clear over the river to the enemy on the other side. Ulayne Umi led the Mancheng Fleet into the battlefield, their archers prepared to harass the enemy across the river. With the opposing force on the other side of the river being weakened, they could focus on the supply outpost. Getting into lines, Huang Gai ordered a volley down below upon Yan Baihu’s ranks.
Meanwhile, at the base of the northern mountains, the cavalry of Sun Yuan Ci halted. They had rushed to get into position at the open fields where their horses would be deadly, but their horses were also fatigued from their long march across rigid terrain. Zhiyun slowed them to a steady pace and began marching east, toward the bridge where Taishi Ci stood guard, when he saw a small party bearing banners of peace approach.
Taking the letter the messenger carried, he dismissed the small party and read:
Sun Yuan Ci recognized the name Taishi Ci well. This was the one man of worth opposing them on the battlefield. He had heard legend of the man’s ability on the battlefield, and of his strength and stalwart ability in the bravado of battling hundreds of bouts against a single opponent.
Zhiyun sped his horse, his own horsemen trailing him behind. Taking with him his captains and no one else, he approached the bridge to see Taishi Ci beginning to pull back. There were soldiers around the bridge, but he did not anticipate them to attack. Him and his small band of horsemen approached slowly, showing no signs of aggression to the army that defended the bridge, but such a notion would surely get Taishi Ci’s attention.
Zhiyun rode forth to the clearing between his party and the opposing army, brandishing his sword in the air.
“I am Sun Zhiyun of Jing! I have come to offer parley to the mighty Taishi Ci. If you are any man of legend as your reputation tells, hold true your disposition and ride up to meet me!”
And so Sun Yuan Ci offered challenge to Taishi Ci. He was prepared to quickly evade and retreat should the offer not be met and the army against him should advance, but he did not believe this would be the case, as Taishi Ci was an honorable general, and if there was anything he deemed honorable on the chaotic field of battle, it would be the bouts of a duel to determine the victor of the fray.
Sword in hand, Zhiyun dismounted near his horse, his eyes fixed on the soldier donning silver armor on the bridge before him.

*Taking control of Zhuge Jin's soldiers as well as Wulong Wang's, unless he returns.*
The 500 Peasants under Zhuge Jin's command were ordered into the eastern forest. There, they would cut down as many trees as possible in order to create siege ladders. With the new equipment, whenever it was ready, the army could be more of a threat to Jian Ye. If Liu Yong felt threatened and retreated into the city, the attackers would be forced to wait it out. With the loss of supplies though, Yong's army would be decimated by the lack of food and the dropping morale. The attackers, on the other hand, would have the stolen supplies to aid in their campaign.
<><><><><><>
The soldiers under Wulong Wang's command moved with Cheng Pu as he was the overall commander of the eastern forces. They were to move past the forest, leaving Jin's men to work within, and then they would head up the eastern path to meet Wang Lang in battle.

ROUND 3 SUMMARY
(((Remember everyone to continue posting a summary at the bottom of your post. Also I would like you to post your troop numbers at the beginning of your post. Losses have been done, I need a current troop count for everyone. This will make my life easier, and allow me to post losses quicker. If you don't I'll void your attack. Effective starting Round 4.)))
Li Wang (500 swordsmen, 250 peasants) - The swordsmen position themselves better against both attacking units. The swordsmen charge forward ready to intercept the enemy Shanyue peasants.
Zhou Yu - Zhou Yu's message reaches SYC, while Yu himself reaches Yan Baihu's position.
Sun Ce (400 peasants, 500 spearmen, 1000 cavalry) - The peasants move up into position with Li Wangs remaining peasants. They engage the enemy as well. Since the archers are at the limit of their range, the spearmen which are behind the archers cannot be hit by Yan Baihu's archers, but they are still vulnerable to Yu Fan's crossbowmen.
Lu Fei (900 archers) - The archers send another volley of arrows at the 3500 charging Shanyue peasants and 1050 Shanyue archers.
Yu Fan (1000 crossbowmen) - Yu Fan has neglected to order another volley of arrows at the Cheng units.
Taishi Ci - Ci is doing nothing.
Yan Baihu/Chen Wu (3500 peasants, 1050 archers) - Yan Baihu has neglected to order another volley of arrows at the Cheng units, but Chen Wu has joined in the charge with his remaining 3500 peasants which crash against the Cheng lines.
Ulayne Umi - Her fleet is nearly to the bridge, but stops out of firing range. She is one round away from the bridge, but it is her choice whether or not she moves forward. Her envoy will reach Taishi Ci with its letter.
Cheng Pu - His unit advances through the woods. Since this terrain is harder to move through than the main road, he will not be in range of Wang Langs troops until Round 5.
SYC - Huang Gai orders a volley of arrows to be rained down upon Yan Baihu's unit. SYC requests the pressence of Taishi Ci.
Zhuge Jin and Wulong Wang under Sun Ce - Zhuge Jin has not posted arriving. I will allow Sun Ce to control his troops during Round 4 and later until Jin wants to take over. The post using his troops this round is void. If you wish you can repost it next round, but he needs to arrive first. I consider this post his arrival. Wulong Wangs troops join up with Cheng Pu. It is up to Sun Ce whether or not he would like to give full control of Wulong Wangs troops to Cheng Pu until Wang returns, or if Sun Ce would like to control those troops himself.
LOSSES
Li Wang, Lu Fei, Sun Ce - 20% troop loss of 2050 total troops engaging in battle (900 archers, 650 peasants, 500 swordsmen) = 410 troops lost. The peasants were the least protected, and also on the front lines where the enemy unit would hit. There was no archer fire, so I will say all the losses go to the peasants.
Sun Ce - 275 peasants Li Wang - 135 peasants
Yan Baihu - 33% troop loss of 3500 total troops engaging in battle = 1155. Sun Ce has a berserker unit which bumps the losses up by 3%.
Yan Baihu - 1155 Shanyue Peasants
Round 4 may begin now. You have until 9pm est Thursday February 17th to post.
