Why do you want to get rid of your douchebag son? I find him quite amusing.

Because what I'm trying to do is grab on the seas on the river and ride it on a strike to Xin Ye. if it works it's gonna be fucking brilliant and everyone's gonna think I'm not such a complete fuck anymore

I'm getting my post done tomorrow. Just how far may I go concerning the attack itself? May I only post that my men are attacking or may I also post they're setting up ladders, shooting at the defenders, climbing the ladders...

Go as far as you like, just don't make anything definitive saying that you have broke through or anything like that. The more detail you have in how you proceed and commence the attack, the better the chance you have of beating the defenders quickly.

Gah, I didn't know that my grandparents were going to come yesterday. Today will be a busy day as well, I see if I can get it done this evening. I'll do it tomorrow at the latest, but I think I'll have enough time in the evening. The majority of my post's ready anyway. Sorry.

This battle starts to annoy me. Seems I've already lost my will to continue. Regardless of how it turns out, we won't gain Xinye anyway. It's a mere waste of time and men now. I was naive to think that we won't need any siege equipment.
I think I've chosen the wrong character. I should've taken someone who doesn't have to wage war constantly. I don't have the time to do this, I suppose...

Why not only take part in defensive battles? As that was what Cao Ren was reknowned for

I'll be pulling you out of the battle once this skirmish is over, so then you can focus on your character development outside of battles. Cause they are annoying more than anything, then we'll be sitting on the defensive for the better part of the site.

I say we take Xin Ye then sit tight, XinYe give us a good passage to Jing and Yong An. They can also strike Wan and XuChang from XinYe. I think we should take it then sit tight and strike when the perfect opportunity arises.

Right. When I see what's going on at Shouchun, I don't really like to do so many battles anymore.
I don't think we'll get Xinye this time. Casualities will probably get high with the missing siege equipment. Even if we manage to take the fort, I don't think it's wise to continue on Xinye. Shu officers will most likely join the defense, making it even harder.
Besides, Wan is a city much easier to defend. Xuchang is safe as long as Wancheng stands.

I should also point out that if you're not fond of Cao Ren anymore you can contact an admin (Adam or Mikey) and request permission to switch out characters, retaining your current equipment.
I should also point out that I did give you and Tai siege engines to use, but you only took along the ladders and a quarter of the troops.
