I should also point out that if you're not fond of Cao Ren anymore you can contact an admin (Adam or Mikey) and request permission to switch out characters, retaining your current equipment. I should also point out that I did give you and Tai siege engines to use, but you only took along the ladders and a quarter of the troops. I know, but before I decide I'd like to get over this battle. Yes, as I've indicated, it was my fault to not have taken the siege equipment. I thought it was not appropriate to have siege weapons in a mere surprise attack on some fort and save them for the real battle at Xinye. Firstly Zhuge Liang suddenly appeared as a defender. Secondly, we got spotted because of some lousy peasants and now we have to face all of those archers on the walls.

The peasants were your fault, no offense. They're common folk in the riverlands of Jing that hate Cao Cao. Coming around with big banners, and being his cousin, they'd never side with you against the 'benevolent' Liu Bei.
You'd have been better off to avoid them entirely or take them out if spotted so as to not alert the armies.
But even then... 1000 peasants to fight a Wei army? That's kind of a lot. I'd think they'd just try and run, not fight.
Anyway, I don't really know what's going on there at this point, but good luck.

Brian, those peasants are not Riverlanders, they're Jing peasants, which according to the site history, were our (Wei) peasants earlier in the set year, before Guan Yu took Xinye and Xiangyang. That's why we ventured to try and sway them. It's not Ren's fault that it didn't mean anything >_>
